My passion for photography and weddings began when I was very young. I staged Barbie weddings, making their dresses from Kleenex, then snuck Mom’s camera to take pictures of them. I moved on to dressing up my little sister in a pillowcase veil, again sneaking Mom’s camera. When she got tired of me using up all her film, she brought home several Bride magazines from the free pile at the library and I spent hours reading them, then pinning pages of beautiful wedding dresses on the ceiling of my bedroom. My favorite part about being a photographer is capturing all the memories! watching a family grow throughout sessions, seeing a groom cry happy tears, and watching your little one smash their birthday cake! Originally from Iowa with a decent chunk of time spent bopping between Minneapolis and Oregon, I love weddings + photography (duh), my nephew, a stiff gin + tonic, propagating too many damn houseplants, and my cats. Last I checked I’m an INFP, Enneagram 4, and Capricorn which makes me quite the pragmatic daydreamer + observer: as unnecessarily prepared as a Boy Scout, curiously creative, and hella laid back, all of which uniquely prepares me for the ebb and flow of a wedding day.
