I'm Amanda, the face behind the camera! I am 31 years old, a wife to my amazing husband and a mother to our 2 adorable boys. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and married for 2. I started my business in the beginning of 2019 while living in North Carolina. What I thought was just going to be a part time hobby, turned into something much much more. I was a stay at home mom looking to do something with my life that gave me more of a purpose, and that is when I started photographing weddings!

Like some it started with a little camera originally to capture our children as they went on field trips, vacations, and other documentations of life. I quickly began venturing into photographing other families and children. A very good friend of mine invited me to shoot her wedding. This was something I haven't quite thought about doing but was super excited for the Opportunity since I was exploring my different options at the time. When I tell you I fell in love! I really did! I mean that would be such an understatement!! I knew at that point that becoming a Wedding Photographer was what I'd be.

I love traveling everywhere and anywhere, talking with my hands, buying plants (and attempting to keep them alive), and spending as much time as I can with my loved ones. I have lived in Boston, Paris, and New York City, and am now lucky enough to call Charleston home, while also still traveling the world for my clients. You can usually find me on my back porch in downtown Charleston, right next to my favorite little park.

My name is Chief and I'm the founder of Chief the Creator. This business came about from my passion for shooting and capturing stunning imagery. I started out with photography but soon found a stronger passion for videography. I love creating cinematic videos and being able to capture all of the most important moments of your big day and turning them into a beautiful, telling love story. While I have gravitated towards videography, my fiance Amanda has fully taken over the photography aspect. Her love for photography and her ability to connect to our clients is unmatched. I want the photos of my wedding that I don’t have –; that capture the moments of affection between our family members; that remind us of the little details and big feelings of that day. I want the photos of my father-in-law walking my wife down the aisle, six months before he unexpectedly passed away. Those photos don’t exist. Instead, I have a handful of blurry, poorly edited images, the half-hearted efforts of an amateur photographer who didn’t yet know what he was doing with a camera.
