ISORA LITHGOW CREATIONS

5.0

South Burlington, VT
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,899
  • Serves Freehold, NY

My name is Isora Lithgow. I am a wedding, branding, and lifestyle photographer based in Vermont, traveling to NYC often and dreaming of packing my suitcase all of the time. I love swimming, cooking, traveling, and dancing. I started this business in the spring of 2017 when some friends asked me to take their graduation photos, but I first picked up a camera back in 2010 when I joined NYCSALT, a non profit in NYC as a high schooler. Why I do this is simple - I love capturing people, cheering them on, seeing them grow and transform, and delivering photos that they'll treasure forever.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I worked with Isora for our wedding in June 2021. Not only are the photos fabulous, but the entire process of working with Isora was lovely. She captured our unique personalities, listened to our love story, and made us feel at home in front of the camera. Isora created an environment where we felt encouraged to ask questions and express our wants and needs. I fully recommend hiring Isora Lithgow Creations for all photography needs!

I cannot say enough good things about Keith and his work. In fact, I'm about two months late in posting this review because I've been spending so much time trying to ensure that it perfectly encapsulates how much we loved worked with Keith. This is my best shot (no photo pun intended), but know that my husband and I could go on for pages! We were SO lucky to be connected with Keith by my brother, a former college crew-mate, and even more fortunate that not only was Keith available for our wedding weekend but more than willing to travel out-of-state to photograph our big day. Of all of the vendors we worked with (and there were a lot, even though we ended up having a very small, COVID-conscious wedding), Keith made me feel the most comfortable and totally at ease from day one. He put a great deal of thought and time into his correspondence with me from the very first time I reached out (over a year before our wedding). He was extremely timely in his responses (and still is, even after the wedding!). Even virtually, I felt that we were able to develop a good relationship, which is so important with all of your vendors, but especially your photographer. Keith made every business transaction super easy and overall was just SO good to work with. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Keith continued to demonstrate his patience and empathy as we endured many pandemic related changes. He did not add to that stress at all and his easy-going nature actually put me at ease just days before when I was trying to perfect a timeline for him. The day of the wedding was our first time meeting in person, but it felt like seeing an old friend. He was totally delightful to work with and made both my husband and I feel very comfortable in front of the camera, despite both of us being a little nervous about our modeling skills. Besides being an all-around great person - kind, quiet, thoughtful, intelligent, talented - Keith's photography is out-of-this world stunning. I mean, truly incredible! Monday morning after our wedding, we had tons of sneak peak photos and he delivered our complete album on our one-month anniversary (and remembered that it was our anniversary!) which was several weeks earlier than anticipated. He captured more emotion than I thought possible in EVERY SINGLE PHOTO. We can't stop looking at them, and neither can our friends and family. We cannot wait to book Keith again in the future. Don't hesitate - book Keith today. You won't regret it!

Caitlin Cooper Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,200
  • Serves Freehold, NY

I’ll try to keep this short: I’m a silly, introverted, rule breaker with a sincere whimsical streak. Originally from Iowa with a decent chunk of time spent bopping between Minneapolis and Oregon, I love weddings + photography (duh), my nephew, a stiff gin + tonic, propagating too many damn houseplants, and my cats. Last I checked I’m an INFP, Enneagram 4, and Capricorn which makes me quite the pragmatic daydreamer + observer: as unnecessarily prepared as a Boy Scout, curiously creative, and hella laid back, all of which uniquely prepares me for the ebb and flow of a wedding day.

I can't say enough good things about Caitlin! My partner and I wanted more non-traditional portraiture for both our engagement photos and wedding and Caitlin just immediately understood the vibe we wanted. She's great at getting to know her clients and making you feel comfortable in front of the lens. Similarly, she just melts into the background during the wedding and captures everything you wanted and more, all without being front and center. You won't regret hiring her and I'd say book her while you still can, because she's only set to blow up more :)

I am all for breaking tradition -- if you want to jump in a creek or tackle your partner into the ground, do it.

Alex Healy Photo

Poughkeepsie, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Freehold, NY

I'm Alex. I spend my free time with my husband and our dogs Conor & Belle. I'm lucky to live in the Hudson Valley surrounded by amazing nature and upstate lifestyle. Art is something that I fell in love with at a young age and has always carried me through life- it lead me to photography. The mixture of art and emotion is one of the things I love most about wedding photography. When you look through your collection of photos I want you to feel and see the emotion, love and fun you had on your best day ever.

As a wedding florist, I've had the pleasure of working with some extremely talented and gifted photographers throughout the years and certainly have my favorites. Alex from White Poppy weddings is for sure one of them. She is kind, genuine, very easy to work with and I LOVE that she has an eye for not only only capturing the tender and important moments, but the beautiful details that tell the story of the day. I am always excited to work with Alex, whether it be a styled shoot or a wedding because I know the vibe of the day will be easygoing and fun and the photos are going to be GOOD!! I could not recommend this sweet, talented gal enough.

Awarded Best of Zola
Laura is wonderful to work with! Laura's style of photography is what had originally drawn us to her; her ability to capture candid moments and how she always seems to get the perfect lighting! The photos she took completely captured the overall warm and loving vibe of our wedding. She must be some sort of magician... or just the best possible wedding photographer... Booking her was easy. She was easy to get in touch with and was always prompt to respond. I'm glad we booked her early to lock in our date. She is a very popular photographer and she books up fast! We met Laura before our wedding to go over the details of the venue and timeline of the night. She is a pro so she can make any venue, even the warehouse we booked, look bright and not dark and dingy. Day of, Laura came happy and ready to shoot. Our portraits with parents and the bridal party were not only beautiful, taken in a field, but also super fun! Laura knows how to make you feel good about yourself when she's shooting you! She was also making jokes which helped make us all comfortable. The ceremony and reception pictures were just breathtaking! She captured how funny our officiant was, our special "I do" moment and of course our first kiss as husband and wife! During our reception, we had circus performers lead the guests in hula hooping and juggling... Laura was able to get some amazing action shots on the fly! Overall, Laura is the absolute best. She was the perfect photographer for our special day and I cannot imagine having someone else in her place! She is so talented, sweet, punctual and professional; all things you want and need in a photographer! We love her and will be hiring her in the future for family portraits!

Claire Teator Photography

5.0

Trumansburg, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Freehold, NY

I'm a wedding & lifestyle photographer currently living in upstate New York and serving the greater tri-state area. I love photographing special moments between people and exploring new places, it's that simple. I'm also a huge yarn nerd, iced coffee addict and a lover of all things the color red. Let's connect - I'd love to hear from you!

Claire was amazing!! She is so sweet and personable, right from the very first email exchange. Her rates are very reasonable and transparent, and she even helped us customize a package that worked best for our wedding. We had two pre-wedding sessions to go over the details, list of photos needed, and all the logistics, and she was very accessible via email throughout the process. She emailed me two days before the wedding letting me know that she had scoped out the venue and the surrounding area to find good photo spots, which made the day of so much smoother. We did our formal photos before the ceremony, and she corralled the family and wedding party professionally and kindly. She kept our spirits up and she wasted no time. Her assistant was also very professional and friendly, and they collaborated so well to get maximum photos at every angle. Claire made sure we had plenty of time for just the grooms, various locations and poses, and we got to have fun and create some really unique shots! During the ceremony I didn't even register that she was in the room, and yet we have beautiful photos of the entire thing, so she did a great job of staying out of the way while also getting all of the important shots! Throughout the cocktail hour and reception Claire and her assistant split off to maximize coverage, but I felt that one of them was always close by for a good shot. They also pulled us to the balcony to catch some beautiful shots at sunset, and those were absolutely worth it! Throughout the evening, if I found myself dancing or talking with someone I hadn't gotten a picture with yet, I could easily gesture or call to them to get our picture, and they also got plenty of other action shots. We received a "sneak peek" of about 50 photos within 24 hours of our event, and the full set of photos within 2 months. She gave us the time we needed to finalize our photo album, and had it published very quickly. We are so glad we chose Claire, she captured our day perfectly and was such a pleasure to work with.
