Grew up learning from mother about all things florals. Worked in vet med for years while also doing wedding flowers with my mother. Now that my husband and I have moved to Lincoln I decided to start my floral business full time.

Welcome friends! My name is Elissa, and I own Elissa Dunn Floral Studio. I provide floral designs for weddings and events in Northern CA. I currently reside in El Dorado Hills with my husband and our two dogs, Cash & Cooper. When I am not flowering, I enjoy fly fishing, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. I’ve always had a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, however upon graduating school I had no idea what I wanted to pursue. A close friend helped me to secure an office admin job at an amazing floral design company in the Bay Area.

My love for floral design began over a decade ago - I had the opportunity to work as a wedding coordinator at a local winery. It was there that I learned and trained in the art of floral design. I fell in love immediately!

I learned the ins and outs of floral arranging as a young thing, through watching my talented mother in action. Something I wouldn’t use till much later in life, I honor her life through my craft. I feel the guidance as I work through this career and it has all fallen into place so naturally. Being able to give the gift of flowers for a wedding, and set off the decor for such a special event brings me embrace joy. Connecting with people who are about to embark on their journey together is such a special special seat to sit in! I look forward to each new adventure this petaled path takes me down.

Soil Sisters Farm is a diversified farm in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, on Nisenan land, and a stone’s throw from the South Fork of the Yuba River. Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
