Hi, I’m Jason, a Des Moines wedding photographer who travels around the globe photographing weddings. After documenting over 500 weddings, I can honestly say that no two weddings are the same! I strive for epic compositions with my photojournalistic approach to wedding photography to capture the true essence of who you are as a newly married couple. I'm a 20 something lover of all things love- as cliche as it is- it's the truth. I'm wildly in love with my other half and have grown a glorious marriage with two beautifully broken people. That is one of my favorite things about wedding days, seeing the two become one and watching your lives and loves to grow into beautiful families for years to come! I’m Haverlee, (hay-verlee), solo parent of three wild things. My photography career was birthed from many years of pain. My life derailed and everything felt unstable and uncertain. The more difficult things became, the more I clung to small moments of beauty. When things felt dark, I clung to the light. And I could always find light in people and in nature. Focusing on others instead of my own dark days brought me joy every time without fail. I always knew I was creative but it took me a while to find my niche! As I ventured into photography, everything fell into place. It was as if I already knew the language, I just had to find the words.

We have proudly been serving our couples and families for over 17 years, and every year we fall more in love. My name is Jen, the owner of Farmhouse Studios. At the young age of 17 we begin our photo journey with zero idea it would become what it is today. Having shot over 1000 weddings worldwide, we have been gifted with the most beautiful gift of sharing in the most joyous days of our couples lives. We cherish all of the memories, adventures, and creative moments we have shared!

I’m Colby (he/him), your local neighborhood dog parent/beer lover/former mascot/barbershop singer/wedding and elopement photographer. My love language is shouting compliments at you. I love people and hate crowds. I prefer long hikes in the mountains to ones on the beach, but both are better than sitting at home. I really, really don’t like having my photo taken - and if we have that in common, we might work really well together.

After high school, I decided to continue to grow my passion at Grand View University where I received a BA in Photography and Graphic Design in 2018. In March 2020, I decided to expand my business to focus more on weddings, families, and seniors. I love connecting with my clients and photographing them in their most natural state. Hello, I am Kara Vorwald. Although I am a wonderer, for now I am based in Des Moines Iowa. I travel throughout the midwest and beyond! (especially anywhere warm during the winter months.) I am a mamma to 3 of the wildest free kids and 4 cats. A wife to an amazing creative husband. If I am not creating something I feel like I would burst over. So I am usually found knitting, baking, quilting, painting or something similar when I am not busy taking photos. I love being a photographer and capturing special moments and memories for others.
