Owner Avery Echols began his DJ career almost by accident. His entry into the business began with managing music for a friend’s reception. At this point, Ace Wedding DJs was born. As Avery’s business grew, he brought in his brother Wes and best friend Landon Bell. Together, this talented trio works hard to bring the dreams of soon-to-be newlyweds to life. In addition to fueling the dance-floor and and crafting ambiance through music, the DJs also serve as MCs with natural ease and charisma. They ensure that introductions, announcements, and transitions run smoothly.

They have been a big part of my life since. I am an alum of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA & toured the country extensively. Jake Reichbart is a solo guitarist and a professional wedding and event musician, based in Ann Arbor. Spanning the past 30 years, Mr. Reichbart has logged a staggering 7,500 live performances of every kind with well over 1,000 being wedding ceremonies, often coupled with the cocktail hour which usually follows and at times the entire reception for the most intimate of weddings. He is, without a doubt, the most prolific and experienced wedding guitarist in the state. Mr. Reichbart's music draws from jazz , classical, pop, rock and folk and he can arrange nearly any song imaginable as your special processional music!

Motor City HDJ started in 1999 as a way to pay for college. The more of my friends' weddings I attended, the more I realized how many bad DJs are out there in the world. I decided at that point I was going to be the "anti-DJ," committing myself to do the opposite of the things that bad DJs do.

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
