Can't say enough about The Stonehurst! Nancy and her team made our wedding process and day seamless and perfect. We used pretty much every part of this amazing venue: upper deck for the ceremony, greenhouse for the reception, barn for the cocktail hour, bungalow for a more private getaway for the bridal party. On the wedding day, there were so many different picturesque spots for the photographers to use and it really brought the day together!

Ethereal Gardens

4.6

Escondido, CA
  • Up to 500 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor

Set on 40 acres of edible gardens, surrounded by old growth orchards and 100 acres of organic herb and vegetable farms… An “out of the box” venue that is completely private and not just another golf course, winery, banquet hall or hotel. Here we are open to creative ideas and outside vendors such as florists, photographers, photo booths, food trucks and so much more.

Ethereal gardens is a gorgeous venue and my wedding was stunning. That said, there are several things that Ethereal Gardens/Trademark Venues needs to improve on. 1- The contract includes additional costs (service fees, bar, additional guests, decor, etc) It becomes overwhelming and confusing to understand exactly how much your final cost will be. It needs to be better organized. 2- The invoice is the only location where you can see your cost breakdown, and they do not date any changes to the invoice. So one day your total cost is X, the next day it’s Y, and you have no idea what was added to the invoice. There is no record of changes. This is not a best practice for running a business and caused us extra stress. 3- The contract states that you cannot have a coordinator or a wedding planner because Trademark IS the wedding planner. This was frustrating because I did everything that a wedding planner should have done (creating the floor plan and seating chart, coordinating meetings, timeline, selecting/communicating with vendors…). Would have been nice to be able to have a planner to do those things like we were promised. 4- My planner tried to start my ceremony early, almost 20 minutes early! Even though most of my family wasn’t there yet! Luckily I said no and it went on as planned but that shouldn’t have even been suggested. 5- The security guards were VERY rude to guests who showed up late. 6- The venue set up my guest book upside down so the signatures are at the back of the book, welcome table was messy, and my gorgeous seating chart was set against an ugly brown wall so all photos of it are ruined. 7- Two full rows at the front during the ceremony were empty because people didn’t know they could sit there. This ruined certain photos because it’s very empty looking. 8- Getting-ready rooms are available at 11:30am (bride) and 2:30pm (groom) regardless of when your wedding starts. The venue does not accommodate based on your specific wedding timeline- unless you pay 1500 which only gets you an extra hour in the rooms. Wish we would have known that up front. Caused more stress and confusion. 9- A security guard snapped his fingers at one of my guests to tell them to leave when he was just waiting for his girlfriend to get out of the bathroom. And the staff started taking tables apart as our wedding was still going on! This led to one of our guests losing a jacket that was on the back of a chair someone took away. Summary: Wedding was beautiful, food was great, venue was gorgeous. However Ethereal Garden’s processes are messy and very greedy/money focused, and some their staff is rude and made guests uncomfortable.

Alyssa and Billy were fantastic at answering any questions that I had throughout this wedding process. They also helped set up as well the day of, they had a nice big fire place and heaters to keep my guest warm throughout the evening. I held my ceremony and reception there for about 30-40 people, it was the perfect size and place for this, could even fit more. I love just how easy and simple the whole process was, especially for guest for additional parking. The size of the cabins were great for getting ready on and for family to stay on site after the wedding. They also had amenities for bathroom, an onsite kitchen for food handling and a trash bin/cans as well. It fitted perfectly for the esthetic I was going for with so many trees and beautiful scenery of mountains.

La Tuna Locations

5.0

Sun Valley, CA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Raw space
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $3,000

Our beautiful 10-acre property was bought in 1966 by Ted and Aspasia Kiapos. It is here that they raised their family, and passed on their legacy for generations. Over fifty years later, La Tuna Locations has prospered and grown into a breathtaking outdoor venue with a focus on creating an intimate and tranquil space for all. Welcome to La Tuna Locations!

La Tuna Locations was the wedding venue of our absolute dreams. We loved the idea of getting married surrounded by citrus trees--it felt uniquely Southern Californian--so we were immediately excited when we saw the photos. But visiting the place in person, we were transported. It's absolutely stunning in person, and the variety of locations within the property for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception made it feel like were we getting three spaces for the price of one--four if you count the stunning photo shoot we did on the mountaintop. Jaime was absolutely incredible to work with (and recommended our outstanding coordinator as well). She was flawlessly professional, but warm and kind. We trusted they knew what they were doing, but we never felt like we were dealing with a wedding factory. This place is an absolute gem.

Rimrock Ranch

5.0

Pioneertown, CA
  • Up to 180 guests
  • Limited services
  • Outdoor

Rimrock Ranch is a beautiful 36 acre ranch situated just outside Joshua Tree National Park in Pioneertown, California that was originally built as the weekend retreat for western actors like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. The ranch consists of 4 rustic Cabins, retro-fitted Airstream trailers, a lodge and the internationally famous architectural masterpiece known as the Hatch House. The ranch is located just 2 hours from Los Angeles and 40 minutes from Palm Springs. Rimrock is the perfect getaway for those visiting Joshua Tree, Pioneertown or taking in live music at the world renowned Pappy and Harriet’s. Rimrock is also a serene location for weddings, retreats, film/photography shoots or celebrations of any kind.

Wowowow where to begin? If you’re looking for a venue that provides both a scenic ceremony and/or reception spot, PLUS a weekend retreat this is possibly the best find in the greater Joshua Tree area. We stayed Friday and Saturday night at the venue with our closest friends which was a one-of-a-kind experience by itself, and the rest of our guests were completely blown away by the mountain views and beautiful desert landscape of Joshua trees and blooming spring cactuses scattered around the property. This picturesque oasis must be seen to be believed, and there is no doubt in my mind that our wedding photos are going to turn out immaculate. Onto the staff: Gwen and Reno were rockstars from day one. We knew they were our kind of people from our first phone call and that was reconfirmed every time we spoke to them. Despite the fact that Gwen was dealing with an injury at the time of our wedding, she was more hands on that we could’ve hoped for. It rained (and snowed!!) on the day of our spring wedding (we also got a cool rainbow out of it) and Gwen was there to help us make a game time decision about where our ceremony would be held on the property. We decided about a week before the day that because of the rain we’d need to move our reception to another venue indoors and Gwen was with us every step of the way offering us guidance and making sure it was a seamless transition and still incredibly beautiful. Because of both the venue and the staff, our wedding was the exact vision we hoped it would be, weather curveballs and all.

Sany on the Hill

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 100 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,500

Welcome to Sany on the Hill, a modern Villa perfect for your wedding party to sleepover, get ready and celebrate all under one roof. The villa is an oasis where luxury, adventure, and relaxation converge just 12 minutes from downtown Los Angeles! Say goodbye to being apart from family and friends when you can all stay together under one roof! With two spacious units (3 bed, 2.5 baths each) providing ample space for both families/parties, along with two stunning rooftops and an outdoor area for pre and post-wedding celebrations, dinners, and more, this home offers the ultimate in convenience and togetherness.

Let me tell you about the time I got hitched at "Sany on the Hill," or as I like to call it, "The Spot Where 'I Do' Doesn't Mean 'I Regret This Tomorrow.'" Nestled in LA's embrace, this place is less of a venue and more of a fairy tale experience that forgot it's in the middle of the city. Picture this: 100 guests, and not once did I hear, "Excuse me, could you scooch a bit? Your elbow's in my cake." Walking into "Sany on the Hill" was like stepping into that dream home you build in your mind during boring meetings. Except, this one's real, and you're allowed to throw the biggest party of your life here. The gardens? Manicured to perfection, as if each leaf had its own personal stylist. And the views? Let's just say my phone’s camera had a day it'll never forget. Indoors, it's elegance with a capital E. It felt like stepping into one of those home decor magazines, except no one yelled at me for sitting on the furniture. We're talking classy interiors that made me think, "Wow, so this is how the other half lives!" And yet, it was all so welcoming, like the place was giving you a big, warm hug and whispering, "Let's make some memories." The hosts at "Sany on the Hill" are the real MVPs. Attentive, kind, and with the magical ability to anticipate your needs before you even know you need them. Forgot your vows? No problem, they've got a solution. Need a last min MUA? They have a rolodex of vendors to choose from! They made the whole shebang feel like a breeze. In conclusion, if you're looking to get married in LA and you don't choose "Sany on the Hill," well, you're probably the type who thinks socks with sandals is a fashion statement. This place isn't just a venue; it's where wedding dreams hitch a ride on a shooting star. Would I do it all over again? In a heartbeat. But let's keep that between us—I'm not sure my other half is ready to plan another wedding just yet! LOL
