I met Jamie while he was DJing at a venue in Manhattan many moons ago. I was immediately pleased with the music he chose and went up to the booth and we got to talking about music and art. He was so easy going and truly in tune with the beat of the venue. We kept in touch and I then went to several more of his venues where he was DJing with friends and also with my (now) husband. When we decided to get married and keep it really small our one must-have was excellent music because we love dancing but are not fans of standard wedding DJ music. I immediately contacted Jamie and on short notice he was able to schedule a meeting with us to discuss our needs. Jamie came prepared with a list of questions and helped us work through the different moods we wanted to set and organized the music choices. We gave him some ideas and he did the legwork of deciding what specific songs would lead into each of the unique parts of a wedding and reception (dancing, eating, more dancing, only the young people dancing, etc.). To this day my husband and I talk about how much fun we had at our wedding and how we were really able to make every piece of it ours - right down to the music that was not pulled off some Billboard chart but that truly reflected us and the people in our lives. In fact Jamie was so great the venue asked if he would be willing to come back and DJ some of their future events :)

We had reached out for a quote because we loved the idea of a band/dj hybrid option for our wedding which EMG has and was contacted by Michael Saulpaugh who went over all the different offerings for what we wanted to do, enhancements options, worked with us on our budget, made us feel comfortable about having worked with our venue in Jersey City, etc... We did shop around other local companies but the way EMG personalizes your wedding experience through an easy-to-use phone app questionnaire and from the way they care and were extremely knowledgeable with everything, it made it so easy to decide to book with them. We had a great feeling after our first conversation that made us know right away we were going to be in good hands.

After booking, we were able to stay in touch about any questions we had, set-up a payment plan which accepted credit cards which was a big plus for us, and check-in before our wedding to finalize everything. The band we booked with Cityscape  The Park Avenue Horns who were phenomenal! All our guests have been raving since about how much fun they had and how the band and DJ were awesome. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. We also had a photobooth, uplighting, a digital seating chart, an audio guestbook which was really fun, and had booked individual musicians for our ceremony and cocktail hour.

It truly was a perfect and magical night and we could not be more thankful for Michael, EMG, and Cityscape  The Park Avenue Horns. I would 1000% book them in the future for any events and HIGHLY recommend going through EMG for your entertainment needs. If you want professionals who care and are going to make you feel comfortable from start to finish, this is a no-brainer. Thank you EMG!!!
