Welcome! My name is Maisie but I also so by my nickname, Maze! I am a professional photographer based in San Diego, California! I have been in the wedding industry for 6+ years now - I am so proud of the work I create and the connections I form. To ensure I perform at my best, I only take on around 12 weddings a year. I have been photographing couples for nearly 10 years and have loved every minute of it. I have enjoyed following them through engagement, wedding, maternity and now family sessions. I have even become life long friends with some of them. I am a mother of 3 and have always loved art, and once I picked up my camera and found a way to tell others love stories, I knew I found what I was supposed to do.

The kind of work I do within the wedding photography genre is very distinct - every image stands on its own as a thoughtful composition as if from a cinematic art house film or high-end commercial/editorial shoot. My color grading is immediately identifiable and unique - developed through years of studying color theory - uncommon today in a sea of 'presets' that other photographers purchase on the internet for they have no knowledge of how to build their own. My compositions are often quirky, surprising, different. I always attempt to show a point of view that's uncommon and fascinating to the viewer.

I am always up for a good hike, enjoy rainy overcast days, and will always stop to pet any dogs in reach! Working in the garden, getting to visit any possible farm animal (but especially cows), and walking barefoot make me happiest. I love freezing wedding days. I stay true to color, but add in a little warmth. I love documenting the day and getting in all the emotions. My favorite part of the entire day- grooms reaction to either his bride walking down the aisle or that first look. I'm also a sucker for dad first looks. Details are also so important, it's one of the biggest day of your lives and getting it all photographed is so very important!
