Your experience with me starts long before you step in front of my lens. I take the time and energy to get to know you & your story, so that I can capture the parts of your relationship that are authentically YOU. So that you can look back on the photos from this season of life, and feel like you're right back in that moment, feeling those same feels. To me, a perfectly posed & still photograph doesn't capture a feeling the way that a candid one can. I direct my couples to create images that are full of movement and those intimate in-between moments.

A husband and wife photography team. We love going on adventures, whether it's a rock-climbing trip, surfing, or just trying a new take out place. We also love cute puppies and, of course, photography. We started our wedding photography business in 2019 when moving back to California after several years living in Sweden. Since then we have photographed many amazing couples! We can't wait to meet you and hear about your story!

I want the photos of my wedding that I don’t have –; that capture the moments of affection between our family members; that remind us of the little details and big feelings of that day. I want the photos of my father-in-law walking my wife down the aisle, six months before he unexpectedly passed away. Those photos don’t exist. Instead, I have a handful of blurry, poorly edited images, the half-hearted efforts of an amateur photographer who didn’t yet know what he was doing with a camera. At that time I didn’t know the value of a professional wedding photographer, so I didn’t make the investment and it’s one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made.

I am so glad that you came to visit! Born and raised in Southern California, residing in beautiful Ventura with my husband, Michael. Our favorite things to do in Ventura are biking around town, checking out the local breweries, and spending time at the beach. I am an artist at heart and love the ability to capture timeless moments through photography that will live on to future generations.

I enjoy capturing unique photos of unique people in unique settings. Most of my work is done with natural light which I consider to be the most flattering. Hello! I’m Laura Ford, a Midwestern native who has fully adopted sunny Southern California as home. I’ve been living and working in Los Angeles & Santa Barbara since 2013, and have happily kissed winter boots and car ice scrapers goodbye forever!  As far as aesthetic goes, my photos are bright, cheerful and thoughtfully framed. Combining the perfect setting with the right color palate and a bit of art direction for my clients is my superpower.
