For a young venue, they have put deep roots down quickly and operate with a seasoned finesse. It quickly became one of my favorite places to work as a wedding photographer. I believe that being an operating vineyard has made Serre and it's staff extremely connected with the land they occupy, surrounding farms, and local people and businesses. Many of the vendors I have worked with there share the same sentiment and connection to the mountains, people, and history of the greater Mount Airy area. The tasting room and main grounds that surround it are now old enough to feel settled into itself, but modern and extremely well kept which gives it a high-end feel. Their very friendly and competent staff has been so easy to work and communicate with before, during, and after wedding days. I would recommend Serre to couples who want their guests to be blown away by the beauty of the mountain views, who are seeking a more intimate feel to their event, and don't want to worry about whether or not the venue is going to do everything they can to make your event the best it can be. And if you like wine, that's a cherry on top.

Appalachian View

5.0

Newland, NC
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,500

Appalachian View provides stunning eastern and western views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the south side of Sugar Mountain. As natives to North Carolina and these mountains, Cathy and Dale Buchanan have enjoyed this area for years - a cabin, time with family and friends, hiking the Appalachian Trail... Here we have hosted weddings for special people in our lives. Consequently, we decided to build on these 75 acres a venue to be able to share this beautiful location with others. We think this is the quintessential place to start your lives together, and are very excited to be able host your wedding ceremony and precious memories.

To Cathy, Pam and Gracie App View was unparalleled in its beauty and splendor which surrounds this venue. As a bride and groom would usually prefer the outside option of a wedding, in our case “plan B” was needed for the wedding. Many guests remarked, “I never knew the Pavilion was a plan B!” From the open view, the beautifully Adorned cross, comfortable seating, to a side entrance with an adjoined room/bathroom the pavilion area was more than accommodating for our wedding ceremony. The reception hall was also perfect, plenty of room, beautiful natural candles with vases were also available with this venue. However, the three cabins which are on the site were the deal maker. The bridal party was able to get ready in style and guests of the wedding party had an option to lengthen their stay if needed by using the other two cabins. As far as the owner and staff, the communication was excellent, the graciousness of allowing us to request additional supplies the week of and their kindness and courtesy was superb. Thank you so much for allowing us to use this spectacular venue. We highly recommend. -Nancy (mother of bride) and Madeline (bride)

Coley Hall at The Liberty

5.0

Elkin, NC
  • Up to 500 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Coley Hall at The Liberty began as a run-down century old Tobacco Warehouse. After being purchased by Elkin native Cicely McCulloch, the space was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue. However, one cannot help but notice the space’s rich history. With an industrial feel, century-old exposed beams overhead, weathered wood, and distressed brick, it’s the definition of rustic elegance and can be tailor-made to fit any style. Keep things simple by utilizing the existing beauty of the space, or dress it up with elegant sheer fabrics draped overhead. Even if you are not DIY savvy, our staff is here to provide inspiration to ensure your vision comes to life!

amazing experience from start to finish! we had our wedding 1/13/24 and it was THE BEST DAY! the food, the drinks, all of the staff were just absolutely amazing to work with. Our wedding planner, Alex, was especially amazing to work with. she made everything so stress free and our day went perfectly! would highly recommend for a wedding (or any party, really)!

The Fields of Blackberry Cove

4.8

Weaverville, NC
  • Up to 450 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,000

The Fields, on 21 rolling acres, awaits you at the end of Reems Creek Valley. With breathtaking views of the Blueridge Mountains. We are minutes from, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Asheville, NC. The Barn is a 3,200 square foot converted stable, a unique rustic barn with the elegance of 21 chandeliers, 2000 square foot Patio draped with Tuscan lights. The Barn is the perfect setting for a relaxing and comfortable celebration, whether it’s a rustic elegant wedding for 50 or 500 guest. The Lodge is a 5,000 square foot Conference Center. The Great room has 20 foot vaulted ceilings. The Boardroom will seat 14 people at a conference table. There are 2 additional dressing rooms upstairs. The largest of the dressing rooms is known as the Brides Room, providing a relaxing and calming feel, with large vaulted ceilings, and views of the mountains.

The Fields of Blackberry Cove was such a beautiful venue and very affordable compared to other wedding venues, especially when considering the location. You are surrounded by mountains and have multiple locations on site where you could hold the ceremony (multiple oak trees and arches you can use free of charge). This venue is great for those looking to hold the ceremony and reception in the same place. We got married outside and then held dinner, provided by the venue with additional fees, and the after party in the barn. The dinner provided by the venue was delicious and made the whole process a lot less stressful because they took care of everything. We were able to serve alcohol and beer/wine/Truly that we purchased ourselves, and Doug provided ice, cups, and a bartender that we paid 60 dollars an hour. With about 100 guests, the barn made for a perfect dance floor. I didn't hire a wedding planner, so I planned the wedding by myself. Doug, the venue owner, was easy to work with and very experienced in planning weddings. He never really clarifies specific things the venue does or does not provide, so be sure to ask! He was funny and an enjoyable presence, but he got a little sassy on the wedding day when I couldn't decide if I should move the ceremony into the barn due to inclement weather. Regardless though, it worked out and everything went to plan! 100% recommend to anyone who doesn't want to spend 15000 on a wedding.

Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding than our wedding at Serenity Ridge. They are more inclusive than any other venue we looked at, our rental order was minimal because of everything they have to offer. The property is beautiful with not only onsite accommodations, but plenty of local accommodations for those out of town. One of my favorite parts was the ability to have so many of our friends and family stay together for the weekend. It makes such a difference in a day that already goes by so fast! The weather was perfect for our wedding but I’m still confident rain or shine, all seasons, Serenity Ridge is the perfect wedding space. The view of the mountains during the day and the stars at the end of the night is unreal. The communication was great, they are very professional and straightforward. You can tell they have years of experience in the wedding business. Their website is SUPER informative and they even have a virtual tour of the entire property! I felt so at ease working with their staff for everything to come together and they exceeded our expectations for our wedding weekend! Everyone loved the American Buffet and my husband still can’t stop talking about the crostini appetizers. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed, there was a gift waiting for us in the Yurt the night of our wedding and s'more's kits in every cabin for the fire pit. All of our guests were so impressed with this hidden gem in Mill Spring, you just don’t find places like this so close to home. Thank you Haley and Serenity Ridge staff for helping us have a the best day, we are forever grateful!

This venue is absolutely breathtaking. The scenic mountains were the perfect background for my husband and I’s wedding and the barn was equally as stunning. So much thought was put into the design of the barn and every little detail was thought out. The bridal suite is massive and has everything you could need and more to get ready on your big day, including a salon chair! The groom’s quarter was the perfect place for the guys to hangout the day of and has a TV and bar. The barn itself doesn’t feel like just any other barn venue; it’s rustic but so elegant at the same time. I can’t recommend this venue enough and the owners are the most down-to-earth, easy people to work with!

Trailside Brewery is a fantastic venue with a rich history and modern amenities. The combination of historical charm, convenient location along the Ecusta Trail, close to Downtown Hendersonville, also offers a variety of event spaces makes it an appealing choice for hosting weddings and other gatherings. The two separate buildings, "The Grove" Events space and Listening room, and the Trailside Brewing and Tasting Room, offer diverse options for events of different sizes and styles. Our large beer garden adds a cozy and inviting touch, creating a comfortable atmosphere for guests to socialize. With ample free parking spaces, large bathrooms, and a short hike to downtown Hendersonville, Trailside Brewery seems to prioritize guest convenience and accessibility. Overall, the combination of historical significance, modern facilities, full bar and brewery, and the scenic location makes Trailside Brewery a unique and attractive venue for various events, especially weddings.

The Grove venue in Hendersonville is both modern and historically beautiful at the same time. So much care has been taken to preserve the worn patina of the walls and original brick while creating a warm, modern setting, and the big windows bring in so much natural light. This venue is a blank slate and lends to any design aesthetic, and works well for all seasons. It’s really a must see!

We got engaged in July 2023. With a Fall wedding date set in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, my then fiance and I knew we'd need to start lookin' and bookin' ASAP due to the very popular tourist leaf season. After numerous venue tours in and around the WNC area, we chose Weaver House for a multitude of reasons: 1) PRICE - this venue was half the cost of several other WNC venues of similar size and style 2) LOCATION - Weaver House is smack-dab in the middle of the quaint, yet sublime, Weaverville and you wouldn't even know it 3) SIZE - we had originally estimated to have about 100 guests (ended up with just shy of 50 - yay!) and Weaver House was not too big, not too small, but absolutely just right and 4) STAFF - Alexandra (Event Coordinator) and Joey (Head Chef) are some of the most amazing, kind, laidback, and down-to-earth people we have met, in addition to all of the bar and wait staff - all great things to have around you on your wedding day and leading up to it! We absolutely would not have traded this venue and our experience with them for anything else, even if we had Biltmore money!! Much much love to Weaver House and all involved 3
