Meet Ellen, a Southern California native and seasoned visual storyteller: I've been photographing events and portraiture since 2017 and specialize in destination weddings and elopements. For me, the best part about being a photographer is getting to witness my client’s once in a lifetime memories being created and knowing that my work will allow future generations to experience those memories as well. I take on all types of creative photo shoots when I'm not shooting weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
I wholeheartedly recommend Ellen to anyone in search of a talented, reliable, and personable photographer. Her professionalism, artistic vision, and positive work vibe made the day seamless. I recently had the pleasure of working alongside her at an event last month at a wedding that was being held at a family's residence. From start to finish, Ellen exhibited professionalism and creativity that set her apart. She arrived right on time, fully prepared and ready to capture the day. She has an incredible eye for detail and a unique ability to capture the beauty in any environment. She was kind enough to send over a sneak peek photo shortly after the event, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. Thank you Ellen for making our mutual clients' day a memorable one I look forward to the opportunity to work with you again in the future.

Randall de Leon Photography

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

Randall was so easy to work with from the onset of my wedding. I didn’t even have to tell him what I wanted. He knew what he was doing. For our engagement photos, he was the one who told us how to pose, because I would not have known what to do. I left it all up to him. Needless to say, our engagement and wedding photos came out beautiful! Our wedding book was amazing. He organized the pages and each one was perfect. I highly recommend Randall as the photographer for any event - engagement, wedding, family, pregnancy, graduation, etc. He definitely has a keen eye for photography. He is very professional and will respond to any questions in a timely manner.

Adam Griffin Photo

5.0

West Hollywood, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $5,000

I’m Adam—a Boston native who’s now roaming around California photographing everything I see. When I’m not behind the camera you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, sipping a dirty martini with friends, jamming to Taylor Swift in the car, or taking my rescue pup Ollie to the park or on long neighborhood walks. I got my first film camera when I was 8, and it was love at first sight. Capturing your story is more than just a job for me. From destination elopements to parties of the century, I've seen it all and love every minute of a wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
10/10 - recommend Adam Griffin Photography! We hired Adam to do our engagement and wedding photos. From the initial brainstorming of shoot  locations to making my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera Adam made the entire experience fun, easy, and personal. He’s got a great eye for the perfect shot. Memories for life.

Soda Fountain Photo

Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500

I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. Give me intimate micro-weddings, quirky dive bar weddings, raucous South Asian weddings... my team and I absolutely thrive in chaos and emotion. My specialty is catching the moments and those tiny moments in between. ✨✨✨

Awarded Best of Zola
I have had a pleasure of working with Mysi at a big fat Indian wedding that I was planning for one of my couples. Mysi is extremely professional and considerate of different cultural and family values. She does magic with her camera and the stills that she created helped us land a spot on the very coveted Modern Luxury wedding magazine in Chicago. She works well with other vendors, planners keeping in mind that we all the same goal of making a memorable day and experience for the bride and groom. You will not go wrong with choosing Mysi as your wedding photographer or being a vendor on your team. Her smile and personality is cherry on top!

Stephen Tang Photo

5.0

Pasadena, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,100

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the start Stephen Tang was extremely professional, I found him on Yelp and checked out his work on Instagram. He was extremely prompt in replying when I reached out to him, provided additional samples of his work, and made himself available to discuss the types of shots we wanted beforehand as well as provide his expertise and guidance in framing beautiful photos. After my initial phone meeting with Stephen I knew he would be the perfect fit for our needs and my husband and I are extremely happy with the quality and caliber of his work. We had several phone meetings to discuss our needs, schedule for the day and to help Stephen understand us as a couple. On the day of our event he arrived before the allotted time, he arranged and set up the entire room, and added lighting and equipment before we arrived. Upon our arrival, he was cordial in greeting us, understand what we wanted and needed and did a temperature check. He made suggestions about where we should place things throughout the room to improve the shots. He was very knowledgeable with how and where we should pose for the perfect shot. He made us feel extremely relaxed even during the most stressful situations and helped to redirect family members to someone other than us to handle some hiccups for the night. Stephen was extremely patient, polite and listened to what we wanted and read what we needed. He gave helpful suggestions which shows his expertise and experience. He was a calming force for the night and did an amazing job making our mediocre venue look AMAZING. The photos he delivered were absolutely breathtaking and he was able to turn our average venue into fairytale-like photos. The candid shots he took throughout the night came out beautifully and allowed us to see our event from different perspectives that we otherwise would have missed. Stephen is personable, knowledgeable and professional, he’s able to frame the shots, be respectful and understand the needs of his clients. If you’re in need of a wedding photographer look no further Stephen will capture beautiful breathtaking photos of your day.

Gabbie Burseth Photo

5.0

Santa Monica, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,000

My name is Gabbie, and I'm a wedding photographer for the couples who seek a non-traditional approach to their big day. I'm a sucker for a candid moment, intimate ceremonies, and black-and-white images from the 1980s. My work is photojournalistic — I approach weddings through a documentary lens, telling the truth with beautiful and timeless imagery.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!
