She later took courses in baking and decorating while in college, and even designed her own wedding cake. Mavis Bakes started off by making cakes and bread for families and friends during their birthdays and other holidays. Eventually, my friends and families started referring me to other people who enjoyed my craft. The thought of making these people happy and for them appreciating my work encouraged me more to start a small business right from my home. As the saying goes, "Home is where your heart is''.

Mimi is the Owner and Creative Director of Mimi’s Mocha Treats which is a licensed, inspected and insured home based cake studio. Located in Woodbridge, VA we happily serve the Greater Washington DC area. With a background in Architecture and a love for baking, Mimi uses her skills / knowledge to ensure that each cake design is uniquely structured and aesthetically appealing, no matter the occasion. She is also a strong believer that each cake design MUST taste as good as it looks, so all cakes are baked from scratch using high quality ingredients including real butter, quality cocoa and couverture chocolate.

At Sweet Greene Cupcakery we specialize in edible artistry to create unique and delicious desserts to make your event’s dessert table stand out. I was born into baking and while my love started as a way to satisfy my sweet tooth and cravings, it grew to a love of the artistry of baking, the experimentation of flavor profiles, and the desire to find new ways to design edible creations that were unique.

We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.

Hello! My name is Ava. I’m a wife, mother to five and a cake and cookie artist. My grandma was a custom cake artist in NY for many years before she passed in 2018 so I grew up watching her create works of art. I would like to say that baking and creating runs in my blood and is not only a hobby of mines, but a true passion.

I'm Leah, the creator and baker behind Somethin' Extra Sweet! I have always loved to bake and share my sweet treats with friends and family! In the summer of 2019, I decided to take the plunge and create a baking business after being nudged by everyone who has tried one of my treats...they knew they were too good to keep under wraps! After playing around with many names I landed on Somethin' Extra Sweet because my sweet treats always have a little somethin' extra to make them special!

Mike’s Gelato was started by Mike Mullinix in 2016. Mike spent a semester in Italy during college, and he fell in love with Italian culture and cuisine. After finishing college in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, he searched for a new business venture to pursue. While a lot of gelaterias use premade mixes to cut cost and time, here at Mike’s gelato we take our time and pride into every scoop. We love what we do and our only goal is to bring you the best possible product anyway we can!
