I found my passion for art while growing up surrounded by horses in a small town in Brazil. The shapes, textures, and colors of the horses always have been inspiring to me. I’ve always wanted to recreate them, but was never really able to. Honestly, my painting/drawing skills were and still are terrible, and that’s when photography came up in my life. I would create imaginary cameras out of my toys and would ‘photograph’ the horses and my neighbors. Photographing people became my passion and then evolved into my work in editorial and wedding photography.

As my Instagram bio says, I'm a country girl by birth, a city girl by choice and a photographer by obsession. I grew up on a farm in a small Midwestern town, but have lived in New York City for over 25 years. As a photographer I say I'm self-taught, but in reality I've had the benefit of amazing mentors and teachers along the way who helped me elevate my work and pursue joy along with results. When not making photos or hanging out with my husband and kids, you can find me with a book in hand or listening to music while indulging my love of textiles at my sewing machine (yes, I really own a sewing machine)! Oh, or dancing! :-)

When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.

I’m Brett Deutsch, and I’ve been working as a wedding photographer in New York City (NYC) for fifteen years. I did not not grow up with a camera in my hand knowing I wanted to be a photographer. I started with photography by photographing Punk/Hardcore bands but eventually stopped photographing those shows because I didn't want my camera gear to get broken by someone stagediving. Being apart of that music scene help me cultivate friendships with people all over the world, and gave me lots of travel opportunities. Those experiences carried over into weddings helping me understand real documentary style moments and being comfortable surrounded by new people.

I'm Alfa, a wedding, engagement, and portrait photographer in New Jersey and New York. My love for photography began years ago when I found myself taking as many candid shots of my then almost 90-year-old grandmother. I kept photographing every instance of her as if with each click of the camera I would extend her stay on this earth. When she was gone in 2008, I found myself with countless photos that brought back precious memories. It was at that point that I realized the power of photography as it allows us to have vivid memories and it also serves as a channel of connection between present and future generations.
