Flowers & Friends

5.0

Pitman, PA

My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. My parents had flower beds and brought the beautiful flowers inside to enjoy as well. I am passionate about being able to replicate flower gardens into a gorgeous design but also creating a unique design just for your day!

Flowers and Friends is hands down the best florist. Melissa is extremely friendly, patient, and kind. She worked with me to plan out all of the details for my wedding day, answered all my questions about what different types of flowers would look like, and even helped me to pick out coordinating linen colors. She has such a natural talent for floral arrangements and everything she creates is absolutely gorgeous. My wedding flowers were perfect and more beautiful than I could have imagined. Melissa took my ideas and ran with them, creating unique and beautiful arrangements. She even thought of small details like drying the stems of our bouquets and providing extra vases to display the bouquets at the reception. If you want a florist who does amazing work and is amazing to work with, Flowers and Friends is the one!

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Misha was one of the first vendors that we booked. I knew that I wanted fresh flowers for our vow renewal and was willing to pay for her expertise. Her style and creativity are so impressive; it's easy to look at any picture of her work and know that she puts her heart and soul into each piece, regardless of what it is. Initially I wasn't sure if she would be super into what I was looking for because it wasn't so much of the boho vibe she does so well and I would consider what I wanted to be plain compared to a lot of her work. But I knew I had to try because not only is her work beautiful, but it’s so unique just like her. I wanted simple whites and creams with different greens – but I wanted Misha to do it because she uses such unique flowers and creates such amazing pieces. She chose the most amazing flowers for all of our pieces – a bridal bouquet, 2 arbor pieces, and a few bud vases. My bouquet was one of the most amazing bouquets I have ever seen; the differences in the flowers, the creams and whites, the textures of the different greens – and the smell! It was so fragrant! The pieces on the arbor were amazing (and she even helped me get the perfect arbor!). Even the bud vases were way more than I expected, they looked like small arrangements, not bud vases. I got so many compliments on all of the florals and I was so pleased that everyone loved them as much as I did and I sent people home with all the florals except for my bouquet so that they could enjoy them as well for the next few days. When you talk to Misha, or see her posts online, you can just tell that she loves what she does – and as she should, because it clearly is her calling. We would recommend her over and over to anyone looking for floral work. She is kind, friendly, creative, listens to your wants and needs, easy to make changes and updates with, any got nothing but high praise from my other vendors as well. BOOK HER, do not wait. She is worth every penny and then some.

I can’t recommend Bloom Culture enough. We scheduled a consultation call with them roughly 3 months before our wedding date. Heather was super kind, helpful and professional. She promptly sent us a proposal that fit our budget and matched exactly what we had discussed during our consultation! The resources they shared with us were super helpful, and 3 days before our wedding the flowers arrived in perfect condition! Even though some of my bridesmaids were nervous about DIYing their bouquets, everyone’s turned out so beautiful and unique!!

    Fairy Meadow Flowers

    5.0

    Hamden, CT
    • Starts at $4,500
    • Serves Ringtown, PA

My name is Isabelle, and I grow chemical free, regenerative flowers and herbs on 3/4 of an acre in Hamden, CT. I truly love working on these blooms from start to finish, and I hope to get to share some of the beauty with you on your special day.

    Awarded Best of Zola
My husband Kevin and I got married in Simsbury, CT on 10/15/22 and had the most perfect day imaginable. This was in large part thanks to Isabelle and Unison. When we first started planning our wedding, we sought out to find as many LGBTQ vendors as possible, so finding Fairy Meadow (based out of our beloved neighborhood, at the time) was a true dream come true. I can't begin to express how easy the whole process was, from start to finish. When we first spoke over the phone, we shared our budget, a bare bones vision for our florals (dahlias, dahlias, and more dahlias!!!) and Isabelle took it from there. What we were greeted with upon entering the tent on our big day, was truly picture perfect. THE COLORS. The florals that Isabelle grows in her own backyard are truly mind boggling. Our guests are STILL commenting on how beautiful they are--especially because we sent a sample off to have professionally pressed (through a recommendation utilized directly from Isabelle). If you are looking for a local team who is passionate about growing sustainably and prioritizes communication, collaboration, and remembers what this business is all about, truly look no further. We truly can't recommend Isabelle and Unison enough. It was a dream to work with them, and I wish we could do it over and over again :)

We knew the floral aesthetic were going to be a key to bring component for bringing to life the centering our BIG Black Queer Love. Since it was a very intentional Black queer celebration honoring our love and commitment, the floral choices and expertise Andrew brought was the linchpin to success, from the very beginning with our first "Get-to-know-each-other" call throughout the process including a venue walk-through up right through the big day. He ensured each detail of our wedding arrangements conveyed our intention while centering our rustic elegant color palette -- a compliment to the autumnal mountain backdrop and made us feel so seen. The impeccable creativity Andrew brought to our more traditional accents -- the bridal bouquet and boutonniere, reception harlow stands -- were equally as elevated and aesthetically eye-dropping the energetic accents and more customized requests -- our flower-adorned chuppah, the ceremony wagon for the flower girl, and the floral chandelier. Andrew's energy is infectious and his preparation and seamless operation always gave us one less thing to worry about during the planning process.
