The House Then Designed by Daniel Riggs Huntington, a well respected Seattle architect, this replica of George Washington's beloved Mount Vernon home was built in 1925. Our King County Designated Historic Landmark farm sits on 18.1 acres on the north side slope of the Happy Valley 2 miles east of Redmond on SR 202. Established in 1907 by Walter Cooper, the uncle of the famous actor Gary Cooper, the dairy farm operated for 60 years before switching to beef cattle in the late 60s. The farmstead encompasses a gambrel-roofed hay barn built in 1925, followed by a grain silo and milk barn built in 1953.

In 1939 the Works Progress Administration built a timbered A-frame gymnasium of local stone and timbers - the beautiful structure that would later become the Longbranch Clubhouse. When the school district consolidated to a larger site, the Longbranch Improvement Club purchased the land and buildings. In 1956 rest rooms, upgraded kitchen facilities and a wooden floor were added. The Longbranch Clubhouse has held an astonishing variety of activities in its colorful history. High school basketball, wartime bandage rolling, huckleberry festivals, fund-raisers, basket socials, Sunday schools and funerals - along with the popular dances and theater events that formed the foundation of this community's social life for generations.

The Historic Lord Mansion and Coach House, located in Olympia's South Capitol Neighborhood, offers an elegant atmosphere and intimate setting with is beautiful architectural features and grounds, provides a memorable backdrop and setting for your wedding. The versatility of the property allows you to craft a special ceremony and/or reception to meet your desired needs and budget. You can have an indoor ceremony for lovely reception space within the Mansion's main living room and formal dining room. The second floor offers rooms for your party to prepare on your special day. You can also choose to have your ceremony on the front lawn in front of the grand entrance with side doric columns. For smaller weddings or those on a budget, we offer rental of our adjacent Coach House with maple hardwood floors and built in buffet counter. Rentals include setup and take down of our inventory of tables and chairs! Event supply decorations are available to rent!
