Eagles Nest Reserve is a family-run vineyard and winery focusing on dry farming, no-till, herbicide-free agriculture to produce un-fined and unfiltered, low intervention wine. ENR’s wines are low in sulfites and aim to express the authentic and rustic representation of its unique geology and microclimate. At approximately 600 ft elevation and the eastern-most area of the Tualatin Hills AVA, the vineyard is planted on wind-blown loess over basalt, and is influenced by catabatic winds funneled through the Columbia Gorge. The 160-acre reserve is a diverse and beautiful landscape of vineyards, wetlands, grazing alpacas, wildlife, and easement-protected forest sanctuaries. Family Owned and Operated. Bought in 1970 by Alan James, The Jamestown Ranch is a vast 200-acre ranch that has been a Redland staple throughout the years. You can still see the original sign hanging at the end of the driveway to the ranch. Nestled amongst the 40 acres of hay fields sits the original farmhouse that currently functions as a vacation rental. Come stay with us and enjoy the horses, and our other farm animals, in a quiet country setting.

This site was first developed by Philip Foster in 1847, as a resting place on the Oregon Trail. It still has four original Foster buildings (two moved onto the site), including a large hay barn, granary, and two houses. One house has been restored to its 1860 condition. We welcome all kinds of weddings, but are most appreciated by those who love Oregon History, and those who want to bring horses to the wedding. There are many options for how to use our site, and we are happy to help you create your dream event. Although parking is limited to about 50 cars, there is plenty of space for people.
