My name is Chief and I'm the founder of Chief the Creator. This business came about from my passion for shooting and capturing stunning imagery. I started out with photography but soon found a stronger passion for videography. I love creating cinematic videos and being able to capture all of the most important moments of your big day and turning them into a beautiful, telling love story. While I have gravitated towards videography, my wife Amanda has fully taken over the photography aspect. Her love for photography and her ability to connect to our clients is unmatched. Together we love capturing and creating beautiful photos and videos.

We are a husband and wife duo dedicated to capturing joy-filled, inspiring, madly-in-love, "til death do us part" couples and their weddings. We have been filming together since 2012, before we first began dating. We first bonded over filming weddings together as friends.

After freelancing over 9-10 years as a Wedding Cinematographer and Photographer, I have finally achieved the dream of opening my own studio. I came to the states in 2015 to get my Masters in International Business but fell in love with the art of capturing light. Since then, I’ve never looked back. I chose weddings because I love to capture emotions. They are rare and candid in weddings, which you’ll never find elsewhere. Being able to record and showcase those moments that the couple and their family will cherish forever is priceless.

We are Mark and Courtney, New Jersey based Cinematographers, and now married couple. In the last almost decade we have been a part of many beautiful weddings in NJ, NY, CT, PA, The Berkshires, etc. Our journey as filmmakers started when Mark was asked to capture a few of our friends' weddings. After some time and a BIG push Project 8 was finally created. Project 8 was named after the town Mark was born in the Philippines. Naming our small business Project 8 is special to us because it always reminds us of our humble beginnings.

I have been making short films since I was a kid. They started as stories in my backyard and have evolved into work around the world. Mercedes is a filmmaker & photographer based in Portland, Maine. Mercedes studied anthropology and sociology at Umass Amherst and brings her skills as a filmmaker to projects ranging from weddings to broadcast television to feature-length documentaries. She views her work through an anthropological lens - stepping back, observing, and allowing her subjects tell their story in their own words. She loves capturing beauty in everyday moments as well as those extra special days in people's lives.
