“Jay was such a joy to work with. He remained consistently communicative throughout the planning stages, and made the song selection/timeline process a breeze for us. He listened patiently and adjusted seamlessly to all our requests and minor changes. We provided a list of songs that captured the vibe we were going for, and he used that as a springboard to fill out the rest of the ceremony and reception superbly with a variety of great music. Some of our guests claimed they never danced that much at a wedding before! On the Beat FX also provided us with a photo booth, and the guests had such a blast taking fun photos all night long. “Jacob was INCREDIBLE!!!! Absolutely amazing!!!!! Wonderful communication throughout the entire wedding planning process. My husband and I wanted a private dance at the end of the ceremony. Jacob helped escort guests out, quickly hid, played our song, and still managed to have the spark boxes go off at the PERFECT time. I seriously could not recommend District Remix more. On another note, my very close friends used a different DJ from District Remix for their wedding a few weekends after my own wedding. The music and vibes were also INCREDIBLE all due to the DJ. If you can’t book Jacob, definitely still book a DJ through District Remix because they’re clearly all dope!!!”

Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. “Kelton from Marquee Artists was amazing! He was a communicative and active participant in the planning of the music and the announcements at my wedding on March 9. Kelton provided an extensive list of potential songs to play in a shared Google Document with columns for “play” and “do not play” which was great. Also, I was impressed that he attended the walk through of the Whittemore House a month prior to the wedding, asking pertinent questions of the Whittemore staff about the placement of various things and how best to provide the sound amplification that would be needed. He provided wireless mics which worked really well for the toasts. Kelton did a great job as the master of ceremony and his mix of the selected music was fun and fabulous. He had the crowd dancing, rocking to the music. Many of the older folks told me that they hadn’t danced in years but were having lots of fun doing so then. Having him on our wedding team instilled so much confidence in me, my daughter and new son-in-law, who is an amateur DJ. I can’t say I wasn’t nervous, as they didn’t have any reviews posted yet, but Jon was very helpful in addressing all our concerns and they kept our guests entertained and dancing all night long! They learned our first dance song- Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves and put their own flair to it, which we loved. They are such a fun mix of rock, jazz, bluegrass, country and played a good mix of songs for all ages.
