My name is Mitchell Gaston, and I love telling stories. I began my filmmaking journey all the way back in middle school (which is further back than I care to admit), making silly videos with my friends. Somewhere along the line I got a chance to film a wedding, and I haven't looked back since. Meeting amazing couples and getting to tell their stories is, and continues to be, a dream come true.

My name is Chief and I'm the founder of Chief the Creator. This business came about from my passion for shooting and capturing stunning imagery. I started out with photography but soon found a stronger passion for videography. I love creating cinematic videos and being able to capture all of the most important moments of your big day and turning them into a beautiful, telling love story. While I have gravitated towards videography, my wife Amanda has fully taken over the photography aspect. Her love for photography and her ability to connect to our clients is unmatched. We met in elementary school, Derek was 2 years ahead of me at a small private school where everybody knew everybody. We knew of each other for 11 years before we finally became friends 2 years after he graduated. At the time, I was in the beginning stages of my photography career and he had just filmed his first wedding. He worked up the courage to ask me out, and from that day on we were inseparable, many of our first “dates” were spent exploring new places and taking photos and videos. Photo and video was our common ground. The love for capturing the beauty of the world around us and life’s fleeting moments is what brought us together.
