Artistic storytelling for the fun, kind and adventurous. Hi friend! :) I'm your neighborhood artist, goofy empath, & lover of dogs and human beans. (Name is pronounced Hasmeen, kinda like jalapeño) My goal is to be a source of joy and vulnerability in your life while helping you feel grounded on your big day and ~even more~ grateful for the life you live and the love you choose.

Jazmín made our wedding day so incredibly special, capturing every detail and all the big moments as well. She is SO talented! From being willing to balance on a mossy log to get some gorgeous water pictures to making my husband and me (and our bridal party) feel so comfortable in front of a camera, Jazmín is so professional, kind, and has an eye for capturing the feeling and beauty of a place. She covered our day from beginning to end, and without her, we wouldn't have had many pictures from our day. We've never had professional photos taken of us before, and every photo Jazmín has taken of us is our favourite. We feel REALLY lucky to have had her there to capture so many moments of that day and to be able to look back on her work brings back so many happy memories. Thank you, Jazmín! (BOOK HER for your engagement shoots, your weddings, your family portraits - it'll be the BEST thing you do!).

Amelie Black Photography

5.0

Santa Barbara, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,830
  • Serves Westlake Village, CA

Thank you for being here! My name is Amelie and I am extremely passionate about capturing intimate love stories. I love collaborating with my couples to create unique, meaningful galleries that reflect the most important moments of their days. I would describe my style as candid, emotional, dreamy, fun, and documentary-style.

From the minute that Amelie arrived at the venue, she was professional, helpful, creative, and kind. She is incredibly skilled not only at taking beautiful and artistic photographs, but also in managing the dynamics of the wedding event. My husband and I are not super comfortable in front of the camera but taking a walk with Amelie to get some solo shots was organic and effortless. We just received some preview photos, and both her photo composition and editing captured our wedding perfectly. Without being asked, she took on many more roles than just the photographer: timekeeper, dress bustler, calm creator, and creative director. She somehow seemed to be in several places at once and was always an arm distance away when a photo opportunity arrived. She scouted beautiful places for my husband and I to take solo photos, instructed the officiant on where to best stand so our ceremony photos would look good, and remembered every single special shot that we requested prior to the event. Hiring Amelie was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding, and I can’t recommend her enough. We will certainly be recommending her to all our friends and family.

We are passionate about photographing kind-hearted people who are unapologetically themselves, and creating a safe and beautiful space in the wedding world for LGBTQ+ folx. Our favorite people to work with believe in giving back to their communities, that black lives always matter, that climate change is you know...real, and choose to embrace their own unique quirks and talents.

When you elope in the middle of a pandemic, it matters all the more that you love your photographer--since they'll be the only other person at your wedding. :) And in short, we couldn't be happier that ours was Shawnee. She has such a gift and a love for the work she does—and it shows. We knew she was the right person from the moment we met on Zoom--she is warm and kind, asked all the right questions, and instantly put us at ease. My partner and I eloped at the end of October 2020 in DC, just before the election. It was a whirlwind moment for so many reasons, especially as a queer couple. And it mattered to us that the person who captured those treasured memories, really understood what that moment meant to us. Everyone who sees our photos marvels at how wonderful they are—and no doubt we look great, but Shawnee’s warmth and direction and stellar eye really made all the difference. Vibing with your photographer matters—we’re so grateful to have found one with such grace and as much love for her art as Shawnee. <3

With Love ~ by Georgie

Los Angeles, CA
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Westlake Village, CA

I’m a destination wedding photographer who loves to travel, take photos, drink, and eat… I know, you’ve probably never heard of ANYONE else with those likes. Haha! What can I say – I’m basic. ;). I’ve always had a love and fascination with movies, tv shows, Vanity Fair magazines, and looking at the history and style from the Mad Men era. They have something so timeless and yet meaningful about them?! Both their posed and candid moments – I DIE! I have been so fortunate that I’ve been able to take the things that inspire me and apply them organically to my wedding photography.

We booked because we loved her style and our first call to get to know each other went so well! Georgie has a fantastic team. We had Elaine as our first shooter and Richard as our second shooter. Georgie picked out an amazing spot for our sunset photos before the day, plus provided tons of helpful info, like checklists for the day of. Georgie and her team really keep your best interests in mind and work hard to get the right shots and keep you on schedule!

Hannah Madison Photography

Monrovia, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Westlake Village, CA

Hi! I'm Hannah, your So Cal (but traveling) elopement and intimate wedding photographer! I'm so glad you're here. My photography style is a documentary/natural photographer. This means I'm more about documenting your moments and helping you create genuine smiles/moments in photos, opposed to just posing you, i want you to dance and have fun, snuggle into your partner and get those intimate moments. (I'll of course help you figure out what to do with your hands, because lets me honest, even I don't know what to do with my hands in photos. Haha) I love traveling, I love adventure, and I love making friends out of my clients.

Having Hannah as our wedding photographer was easily the greatest decision we made! Hannah was incredibly professional, kind, informative, easy to work with, easy to talk to, great communicator, and listened to all our needs. My husband and I are very awkward and uncomfortable when it comes to taking photos (taking professional photos was a new thing for us) and Hannah made sure we were comfortable from start to finish. By the time the wedding came around we knew exactly what to do thanks to her easy to follow tips, tricks, advice and guidance. Hannah captured our wedding beautifully, and we are forever grateful for her. We will be going to her for our future events and highly recommend her to everyone.

Hello babes! I’m Laura (she/her/hers) and I’ve fallen in love with meeting down to earth couples who share an intense bond. I’m currently based in Southern California but am always open to travel! I’m ready to pack my bags and be your number one third wheel.

It was so much joy and pleasure to work with Laura for our engagement photoshoot and for our wedding day. Laura immediately put us at ease with her bubbly, friendly demeanor. Her directions for different poses were easy to follow, and her enthusiasm and excited reaction after taking a picture was infectious and engaging. She has a keen eye for picturesque backdrops and an awareness of how the lighting affects the mood of the photograph. We loved looking at the pictures she took for both occasions, especially how she captured our expressions and emotions in the moment. We felt very comfortable being affectionate in front of the camera, and she made it so much fun to take pictures in a variety of settings. She drove with us to different locations for our engagement photoshoot, and was very professional and supportive on our wedding day. We hope to work with her again to capture more of our memories in the future.

Welcome. I'm D e r e c k. I've been doing photography and videography since 2017. It wasn't until the pandemic of last year that I decided to take a leap of faith and make it a full-time career. I feel like I've always had a burning passion for photography and editing, I love photography because it captures a moment in time. Whether that moment is your wedding day or an annual family portrait, pictures enable us to relive and remember special occasions again + again. Why I specifically dove into Wedding Photography? Simple!! My love for creativity and seeing passionate couples that aren't afraid to show their personalities

Dereck was such a pleasure to work with! He is very organized and flexible. Our wedding photos came out beautiful despite our small venue and lack of scenery. His energy was very relaxed which was so helpful on such a hectic day. We would absolutely book him again!

Elise is a wedding photographer based in Southern California whose style is candid and inspiring, with heeps of romantic photojournalism. Experienced in intimate weddings, destination weddings and elopements, she is available for world travel wherever love may take her.

It’s was clear to me from the time Elise arrived that she understood our vision and was the consummate professional as she helped usher us thru our wedding day. Of course there were “hiccups” in or schedule… pre-wedding prep took much longer than we anticipated but Elise helped get us back on track and postponed photos that she could shoot after our wedding. Our first look was most important to us. All our photos were delivered on time and told our wedding story like fine art. Book Elise and know you’re getting a professional photographer who has mastered her craft, enjoys her work and knows how to make you feel at ease on your big day!

We were really happy to work with Norbert, he was always responsive, flexible and very attentive to our questions. He was very professional and friendly to us at all times. Plus, he gave us some great recommendations around the area that we hadn't even heard of! We have never really had pictures taken of us before in a romantic setting by a professional before, that alone was pretty intimidating for us. Norbert made the entire photo experience a lot less intimidating for us to go through, the pictures came out perfect in the end! Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely recommend him to anyone marrying in the future in need of a photographer.
