Dane is a Portland Oregon based wedding videographer dedicated to producing high production value wedding films for clients throughout the pacific northwest. Having shot over 100 wedding films, Dane is comfortable with the most common wedding traditions and he has a relaxed comfortable demeanor that makes the experience of having a wedding film seem effortless to his clients.

One thing to know about me is that I truly am passionate about what I do, and I think that shows in my work. I love getting to know everyone's story and want to gift my couples with a film that truly captures their love. I have been filming weddings for 3 years but I knew I had a passion for filming long before I started this journey. I got my first camera in high school and used any excuse to film my friends or the places I traveled! It wasn't until my second year in college that I really started to pursue video as a career. I bought a few pieces of gear, and filmed my first wedding in April 2021!

I aim to provide a unique, meaningful experience filled with adventure, laughter, and a whole lot of love. My main goal is to ensure that not only do you receive a kick-ass gallery or video that brings back all the feelings from your day, but that you have an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE throughout the entire journey! Your wedding day should be fun, STRESS-FREE and memorable. Simple as that. And I will do everything I can throughout the entire process to make sure it is nothing less.

You’ve probably heard the meaning of opal as, “precious stone,” or “queen of gems,” but we’re really focused on the reflected light that an opal emits (we’re photographers and videographers after all, we're kind of obsessed with light). We’re really here to be a light to our clients, meaning it’s our priority to show love to everyone because of the love that we have been shown.

Growing up in Paradise Valley, Montana gave me an appreciation for western landscapes landscapes that has stayed with me as a videographer. I call Bozeman, Montana home today and enjoy traveling to capture weddings! I moved from being a wedding photographer to being a wedding videographer in 2013 because I recognized that telling love stories with the human voice was important to me as an artist. As a documentary storyteller, I revel in capturing moments that are fleeting... moments to share with loved ones that you'll want to remember for the rest of your life and pass on to your kids or extended family.
