Mike and Emily String Duo

Mike Dunbar is a singer-songwriter in Nashville. His music is equal parts Paul Simon and Rolling Stones, blending lyrical depth with a rock and roll attitude. A native of New England, he earns his living as a professional writer and performing musician. He has been awarded grants from the Mellon Foundation and the College of the Holy Cross to compose and record original songs. His work has been featured in the Boston Globe as well as on The River and New Hampshire Public Radio’s “All Things Considered.” His newest single, "Let's Stay In" was recorded remotely with some of Nashville's premier session musicians.

Mike & Emily recognize that every couple is different, and can tailor their repertoire to each couple’s style. Whether it be rock, traditional Celtic music or classic melodies to accompany the newlyweds down the aisle, Mike will strive to realize their musical vision. Mike is available to work as a solo artist or within a duo, providing accompaniment on both the guitar and violin. Couples can avail of sample performances, and Mike will bring necessary equipment such as microphones and a sound system. This artist is happy to learn new songs, ensuring that each couple’s soundtrack is a perfect accompaniment to their day.
