About Ronda Akande Bridal Hair

Ronda Akande Bridal Hair

Lead Bridal Hair Artist

My name is Ronda, a professionally trained hairdresser that has recently relocated to Michigan. I’m a wife, mom and dog-mama. When I’m not in the Midwest, my husband and I spend a few months out of the year in the Caribbean on the beautiful island of Antigua (“wink wink” to all my destination brides!). In my free time, I love traveling, going to the beach with our Frenchie named “Tigua” and sipping a spicy margarita. My mission is to continue to create beautiful looks for my Brides, share my knowledge with other aspiring hairdressers, and hopefully inspire others to manifest their biggest dreams.

Helping you feel and look your best on your BIG DAY is my main goal. I will work with you every step of the way to make sure your experience is stress-free. We will do a thorough consultation to help determine what look is best for you and your style. Whether it’s classic chic bun, textured upstyle, or romantic soft waves, I am confident I can help create a look you will feel beautiful in and one that will last all day long! I cannot wait to meet you and be apart of memories you will share for a lifetime.

Ronda is amazing. Not only is she incredibly talented she’s also an awesome person. I felt beautiful as a bride on my wedding day and the rest of my wedding party looked stunning as well. She is incredibly professional and prompt and I couldn’t recommend her enough.

Ronda Akande was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She loves her craft, and it shows! I receive so many compliments on my wedding day hair, but most importantly I loved it!!! My bridesmaids all looked so freaking beautiful, too. Each one of us had a different hair style, some updos and others with half-updos, and they all worked together. If you’re looking for a hair stylist who can create timeless, effortless and chic styles - Ronda is your girl! I was surprise by the nerves I was feeling day of, and Ronda made me feel so comfortable. She’s hilarious, easy going, and my bridal party loved her! 10/10 would recommend. She was one of the best parts of my wedding day.

I’m actually not even sure where to start. If you are thinking of reaching out to Ronda, stop thinking and just do it. Firstly she is the most gorgeous human inside and out, with the most talent I’ve ever seen. My family and friends all referred to her was ‘Wanda’ because she is pure magic. Not only did she make me and my bridesmaids look so beyond beautiful, she made us all feel that beautiful too. Every photo and thought we had was brought to life effortlessly with the biggest warmest smile. You choose who is in the room with you very carefully on your wedding day, surrounded by your closest friends and family - and it was the ultimate pleasure having her with us, I can’t imagine having anyone else ever ever. Ronda went above and beyond in every single step, for every single person whose hair she touched. I still to this day don’t know how she transformed all of our hair into such beautiful styles, in the most humid hottest Caribbean environment there is, and none of it budgeted - I’m convinced it was magic.
