Will you edit all our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I first "cull" all of the images I take, to remove any duplicates or "bloopers" (eyes closed, etc), and then I edit them. You'll receive all of the best images in your final gallery. I don't limit how many edited images you receive; each photo is intentionally taken to provide you with a complete story of your day and you deserve all of them!

Question 2

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Two of my current wedding packages include a second professional photographer, to provide extra coverage and assistance throughout the day. If you choose my Elopement or Moonstone package, you can always add a second photographer if you'd like. Depending on the size and length of your wedding, I may also bring an assistant at no extra cost to you.

Question 3

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Accepted Answer

My turnaround time varies by season and amount of coverage during your day. Typically, you’ll be able to view your full gallery of edited images online within 4-6 weeks after your wedding. This time frame can vary slightly depending on peak/off-peak wedding season. If you choose just a few hours of coverage, you may have your images back sooner. Though for 8-hour coverage with a second photographer, editing time may take closer to 6 weeks during the peak season.

Question 4

How many pictures will we get?

Accepted Answer

You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. I do not limit how many images you receive from your wedding day.

Question 5

Do you have insurance?

Accepted Answer

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Question 6

What’s your backup plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

Accepted Answer

In my 14 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never canceled a wedding. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my professional colleagues. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Do you back up your images/digital files securely?

I am very careful about backing up my files and use 3 different external hard drives as backups to ensure nothing gets erased or corrupted. I use the highest quality CF cards in my cameras and have never had an issue with corruption or loss of images. I keep all RAW files on my hard drives for at least one year after your wedding.

Question 8

Do you have backup equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes! I use two professional digital SLR Canon cameras so that I always have a backup. This also allows me to quickly capture moments using two different lenses at all times. I love to get variety in your images - close-ups, wide-angle shots, etc. I also have multiple flashes, umbrellas, and light stands for optimal lighting in darker situations, receptions, and for group portraits.
