HOW DO PAYMENTS WORK?

Accepted Answer

I require a 30% deposit at the time of booking to reserve your date in my calendar. The remaining 70% will be split into two payments, both due in full at least 30 days prior to your shoot. The 30% deposit is non-refundable; more details can be found in the contract. I accept various payment methods including credit cards, PayPal, checks, Apple Pay—you name it!

Question 2

WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE DUE TO WEATHER?

If my schedule and availability permit, we can make a last-minute joint decision to reschedule for better weather. Keep in mind, some of my favorite shoots have taken place in ‘bad’ weather. Using weather conditions in your photos can create stunning shots. The only time I will suggest rescheduling due to weather is if there’s a risk of excessive rain that could damage my cameras.

WHAT IF WE NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE?

If you have already placed a deposit on a specific date, I have blocked it out in my calendar. The deposit is non-refundable, so if you need to change the date, a new deposit will be required to secure the new date. This policy is in place because I rely on that income to pay bills, and I only accept a limited number of jobs per month and year. Any additional payments will either be refunded or applied toward the new date.

HOW MANY IMAGES CAN WE EXPECT?

I do not set specific numbers for my galleries since every session and wedding is unique. However, you can expect the following minimums to give you an idea of what to anticipate. I will make sure to thoroughly document the moments of your day because this is YOUR legacy, and I will not hold back on preserving these for you. So, please don’t worry about limits, but for reference, here are my average numbers: Weddings: 700+ photos Elopements: 500+ photos Portraits: 100+ photos

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

Typically I try to make sessions 3 weeks or less and 8 weeks or less for weddings!

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR FOR PHOTOS?

I am a person who likes options; typically, three different options are perfect as they provide a variety to choose from, ensuring the best outfit for the lighting and location. I recommend bringing outfits that you are comfortable in and that are true to your style. Neutrals and muted tones always look fantastic. I would avoid pinks and oranges, as they tend to reflect on your skin, altering your skin tone. I also advise against wearing an all-white shirt for men’s dress shirts; opt for off-white instead. The bright white of men’s dress shirts can appear cooler than the rest of the image.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO OUR WEDDING?

Nightmare scenario! It would be devastating for me; however, in the event of an emergency that prevents me from attending your wedding (such as a family death, car accident, illness, etc.), I will do everything within my ability to send a replacement photographer to your shoot or wedding day, although I am not legally obligated to do so. In the case that I cannot find a replacement, you will be fully refunded.

WHAT DO YOU RETOUCH ON PHOTOS?

Color corrections ensure timeless, authentic shots. I also retouch impermanent blemishes, marks, and bruises, but I do not alter permanent features of your body (such as curves, double chins, etc.). If there is a part of you that makes you feel insecure, please tell me. This will help me ensure that you feel 100% comfortable and confident with the posing and direction I provide during our shoot.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU TAKE EACH YEAR?

This varies from year to year, but lately, I have been capping my services at 20 weddings per year. This limit allows me to devote the necessary amount of time to give my couples the best experience possible.
