About this venue

Look no further than the elegant 1926 National Register Historic Glenview Mansion for an ideal wedding on the 153-acre Rockville Civic Center Park. With stunning architecture and blossoming formal gardens, the home was built to entertain. Stone walkways lead up to the stately and timeless building that dazzles with its stacked brick and white column exterior. Enjoy a catered buffet or food stations in the Dining Room, or dance the night away on the hardwood floors of the Conservatory. Large French doors add a sense of grace to the majestic and respectable rooms, drawing natural light in to highlight the antique furnishings like cushioned chairs, lavish couches, and wood tables. For intimate outdoor wedding ceremonies, manicured lawns provide the perfect place to walk the aisle and say ‘I do’ to the love of your life. Moreover, the second floor of the mansion flaunts a vintage art gallery that is the icing on the cake of your amazing wedding experience!

Conservatory

Bright windows, nearly 100-year-old marble floors, and dazzling lighting give this room an inviting atmosphere.

Available as a ceremony and reception site, the Conservatory’s neutral palette makes a beautiful backdrop. If the weather doesn't permit an outdoor celebration, the Mansion can house an indoor event. Chairs can be arranged inside the Conservatory space. Seats up to 50 guests at event tables and up to 75 guests for indoor ceremonies. Dancing must take place in the Conservatory; no other social rooms can be used for dancing.

Description

We offer The Get Ready package to allow members of the wedding party to get hair/make-up and dressed in the following locations: Art Gallery (Dressing Room, Gallery Room 5, and Gallery Room 6) and Cottage. $250 per hour (minimum of one hour)

For all events at Glenview Mansion where alcohol is served, a licensed bartender/caterer must be present and serving the alcohol at each beverage station throughout the event. Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) and self-served alcohol stations are strictly prohibited. Glenview Mansion is not involved with the catering contracts to determine how any alcohol is purchased. For private events held free of charge for guests where alcohol is provided as an optional beverage served at an open/free-of-charge bar, no alcohol permit is required.

There are two (2) large and free parking lots available at Rockville Civic Center Park. The first parking lot is directly behind the F. Scott Fitzgerald and Social Hall and is shared with events at the Theatre and Social Hall. The second parking lot is to the left when entering Civic Center Park (this parking lot is considered the main parking for Glenview Mansion and Cottage). In addition, there is also a small parking lot for ADA parking and vendor pick-up/drop-off located right behind Glenview Mansion near the rear door. In this parking lot, there are also three (3) guest parking spaces.

Yes, Glenview Mansion has been modified to be ADA-compliant. There are ramps at the rear entrance, leading to two doors on the first level. The entrance also has a small parking lot for ADA parking. There is an elevator with one stop on the first floor and two on the second floor. Please note that tents and/or structures behind the Cottage in the Bowling Green have no ADA access. Guests in wheelchairs are best driven to the site using the service drive from the theatre parking lot to this garden area. The restrooms in the basement of the Cottage are not ADA-compliant.

A certificate of insurance is required for both private and public events in Glenview Mansion and Cottage. For non-company/non-organization events, the PRIMARY name must be the insured party on the valid certificate of insurance during the contracted timeframe of the event. For company/organization events, the company/organization name must be the insured party on the valid certificate of insurance during the contracted timeframe of the event. All vendors are required to have a valid certificate of insurance during the contracted timeframe of the event. The business name must match the certificate of insurance.

Monday through Thursday rentals have a 6-hour minimum. Friday through Sunday rentals have an 8-hour minimum. All contracted rentals that are using tents and/or structures are required to have a ten-hour minimum.
