About this venue

We offer a beautiful, peaceful and unique outdoor venue. We have 80 acres of land completely surrounded by National Forest. Our three large meadows allow panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and picturesque streams amble through the property. We are located in the Tahoe National Forest in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We are only 2 miles from Independence Lake, 30 minutes from Truckee/Donner Lake and a 45 minute drive from Lake Tahoe. Our season is from late-June through mid-September. Our wedding package is a 3-day special, allowing you ample time to prepare for and set the scene for one of the most important days of your lives. We can provide you with advice on vendors.

    My husband and I got married at Mitchells Mountain Meadows in mid-July of 2023. We can not find the words to express just how PERFECT our experience was at this INCREDIBLE VENUE! Between the beautiful and breathtaking views, the wealth of knowledge and experience Pam and Fred have had putting on weddings, and the personalized touches throughout every inch of the property, I can honestly say there isn't a single thing I would change. Pam and Fred were beyond helpful, kind, hard-working, welcoming, and supportive from beginning to end. They were quick to respond to any questions or requests that we had and were very willing to do anything that we needed them to do. I honestly don't know how they do it!!! One perfect example of this is that we asked if it would be possible to put two hummingbird feeders on the property a month before the wedding. My grandparents passed a few years ago and hummingbirds have been our connection to them. Pam was not only willing to have them on the property, but she filled the feeders regularly and shared several touching stories about the hummingbirds' visits. The day of the wedding our hummingbirds were there with us to share in the special day! It was so touching! Pam and Fred are one in a million and we hope to keep in touch with them in the years to come. We will certainly come back and visit! Since the wedding, we have had so many friends and family comment to us that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding that they have ever attended. We would have to agree with them. If you are looking for a private, stunning, outdoor venue in the mountains, you have found your place! We do recommend renting shuttles from Northstar Transportation. It made life safer and easier for everyone!

    Working with Pam & Fred is such a pleasure! They are happy to answer any and all questions you may have leading up to the event and during the event they are both readily accessible and so helpful! Their venue is in incredible condition. It is evident they pour their hearts into their property! I genuinely enjoyed working with them and getting to enjoy the site.
