About this venue

The Legacy at MK Ranch is Tahlequah's newest event venue! Although it is just minutes from town, the property is secluded and makes you feel as if you are away from the hustle and bustle. With more than 50 windows, it brings the outside in creating a warm and inviting feel. It is spacious with over 8,500 square feet, seating up to 350 people, but yet you feel grounded with all the natural light, neutral colors, iron railings and wood tones. The Legacy embodies a farmhouse elegance with a modern spin.

Our main indoor space is chic, elegant, classy and modern.

For an indoor reception, the Main Room provides a great deal of delightful space for some 350 people to gather for a sit-down meal. A blank canvas, its exposed wooden beams, vaulted ceilings, and funky rectangular windows provide an ideal setting to decorate and glamorize as you wish. With stage lighting overhead, chandeliers, wall lights, and ample natural light coming in, it looks splendid when arranged to suit your preferences.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding at The Legacy at MK Ranch. It was beautiful, unique and truly perfect. The staff was so professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. So many of our guest commented on how beautiful The Legacy at MK Ranch is. So many great places for pictures and wonderful ceremony locations. We highly recommend The Legacy at MK Ranch!!!

We had our wedding at the Legacy in September of 2020. It was literally a dream. They walked us through what our day would look like, and worked to make everything we wanted happen (even in the middle of a pandemic). I believe you can now include XO Event Co. in your wedding package to include a wedding coordinator. Our coordinator from XO literally saved the day and I couldn’t have done it without her. If you are wanting to stay on site the night before or night of the wedding, then make sure you ask about the Farmhouse which is just walking distance from the venue. My entire bridal party stayed in the 5 bedroom house my wedding weekend and it was a blast. Highly recommend!

Yes! We require you to purchase host liability insurance and we require that alcohol is served by a licensed bartender.

Yes! We have a gravel parking lot that can accommodate up to 100 cars. We also have a circle drive right up to the entrance, which is perfect to offer valet service. Weddings over 250 guests or 100 cars will be required to hire a valet service.

Yes! We have a concrete ramp that can be used to access The Legacy. Our restrooms are also ADA accessible.

When booking with The Legacy, you get a 15 hour rental, 9:00am to midnight.

Yes, it is required. In order for us to offer an open vendor policy, we require a $1M policy. If you are serving alcohol, you must include host liability as part of your coverage. We recommend Wedsure.com or Wedsafe.com!

Yes! We have an open vendor policy.

Absolutely! We allow each bride a 1 hour rehearsal that takes place on the Thursday before the wedding. Times are first come, first serve for any wedding that weekend. If we are not booked on the day before your wedding 6 weeks before, you may request to schedule your rehearsal for then (i.e. Friday night for a Saturday wedding).

Yes! It is included in any rental and is perfect for background music. We do recommend that weddings still hire a DJ for the best sound quality for dancing.
