As the embodiment of ‘Connecticut Charm’ with its 18th-century architectural design & rustic, New England inspired designs, The Spinning Wheel is the ideal destination for an intimate reception. Our venue, sitting on five acres of rolling countryside, offers both privacy and accessibility - with its picturesque location in quaint Redding, CT and its proximity to major thruways (I-95) and Manhattan (approximately an hour away). Our charmingly-appointed banquet room can accommodate weddings of up to 150 guests and features the original fireplace from 1742. The scenic garden gazebo is a favorite for nuptial exchange and the covered patio serves as a perfect setting for cocktails and outdoor receptions.     I am so grateful to Katlyn and everyone at The Spinning Wheel for their impeccable professionalism, keen aesthetic eye, uplifting and positive demeanors and enthusiastic efforts. The Inn looked positively lovely on the day of our wedding. The garden and grounds as well as the dining room were set up beautifully. Every guest completed the food which was served efficiently and was delicious! They accommodated vegan and vegetarian guests very conscientiously. My husband and I will remember The Spinning Wheel with gratitude in our hearts for making our day perfect.

    The Spinning Wheel is a page out of Connecticut history. A great venue for small to medium weddings with a lovely ceremony area and charming reception room. Excellent food, friendly staff and great service for a warm and cozy wedding day.

    If we could give The Spinning Wheel a million starts, we would! From the first time we set foot on the property, we knew this place was special. From the historic, New England charm of the venue, beautiful landscaping, and the AMAZING food, you will not regret booking The Spinning Wheel for your wedding/event. Katlyn, Chris, and the entire staff went well above our expectations the day of, and our guests were truly wowed. Throughout the planning process, Katlyn answered all of my (many) emails so promptly. She was a pleasure to work with and the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch because of her attention to detail and wanting to make sure our special day was all that we wanted it to be. To touch on the food again, numerous guests stated it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, which really speaks volumes to Anthony and The Spinning Wheel staff. This family-owned and operated business truly embraces all of their couples and makes you feel like you are part of the family as well and that is why we wholeheartedly recommend booking The Spinning Wheel for your event!

    We got married at The Spinning Wheel on 5/14/22 and it was hands-down the best decision we made on our wedding day. The only thing I would’ve changed is that I wish we did our ceremony there as well. Chris and Katlyn were so wonderful, incredibly patient, and made our vision come to life. All of our guests raved about the food and how quaint and beautiful the space was. The outdoor patio was also a hit with our guests who wanted a break from the dance floor. Thank you to everyone from the Spinning Wheel for such a wonderful day.
