About this venue
Venue 1848 is unique in the Central Virginia area. Located in the downtown district of historic Appomattox, Virginia, the word “boutique” describes this space well. It is small and sophisticated! You’ll love the original hardwood floors, tin-tile ceiling, and exposed brick. Our neutral palette will not clash with your wedding colors. Venue 1848 exists to invest in the integrity of the family and celebrate its milestones. We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and look forward to serving you.

An ABC Banquet license is required for alcohol consumption and service at Venue 1848 with the following restrictions: Alcohol service is limited to four hours and may require a professional bartender.
We have a parking lot for Venue 1848 guests behind our building. We suggest your reserve it for the wedding party or special gusts. The Town of Appomattox has FREE street parking on nearby Main Street and Harrell Street.
Event insurance is inexpensive and easy to purchase online. A Certificate of Insurance is required with Venue 1848 and Church & Main, LLC listed as additionally insured.
Venue 1848 has an accessible family restroom. For most convenient access, park in our back parking lot and enter V1848 through the lovely Green Gate Courtyard.
