I would describe my design style as loose/organic with a mix of whimsical and romantic. I LOVE color and getting the chance to work with more unique color palettes is my absolute favorite thing!

I started this business in 2013, but I’ve been working with flowers all my life. From seeing my grandfather’s pride in his rose garden, to kneeling in the garden while my dad showed me how to plant bulbs, to learning floristry as my mom and I created wedding flowers, I’ve done it all. I’ve studied wedding floristry with the Floral Design Instutue and have a bachelor’s degree from the horticulture department of The Ohio State University. When I’m not working on a wedding you’ll find me in the garden tending the dahlias, English roses, and peonies on our three acres. In the winter, I’m usually in the kitchen trying to emulate Guy Fieri.

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
