Hi! My name is Laura & I'm so happy you are here reading this little bio because it means we just might be a great match! (WooHoo:) Quick 411 on me:) I've been married now for over 26 years & counting! My hubby Guy and I were both born and raised in Southern Ca. but met in Utah at a Sundance work Christmas party and even though it wasn't love at first sight, it was pretty darn close🖤 We have 3 beautiful kids and a handsome son in-law! Something unexpected about me (for most people:) is that I'm a new "chicken mom" my kids think I've lost it, but really they have just been replaced is all haha-I'm kind of obsessed with them! Haha:) 

I'm a photographer with a passion for arts, nature, and exploration! I first found my passion for photography when I began shooting music concerts. Concerts taught me to appreciate powerful, uncontrollable, candid moments. I naturally progressed into weddings where moments are organic, joyful, and last but a split second. My goal is to capture images that evoke emotion, document history, and are timeless. My love of photography revolves around Portraiture, Weddings, Nature, and Pets.

Just a little backstory on how I got into this business. When I was a child, I loved taking pictures of everything. And I mean everything! (I get that from my mom.) Now my dad didn't share this same joy as me because back then it was all film and every snapshot I took...he knew he had to pay to develop. We love to look back on that time of my life now and see where it got me. Its a funny story to reflect on, but so rewarding to see a joy turn into a passion and that passion turn into a career!

Based in The Woodlands, Texas, just north of Houston. I've been photographing love and connection for the past 12 years. I always say "I can't believe this is my job." It truly is one of the greatest privileges I've ever had. Hi friend, I'm Katelyn! Thinking back, I really have always loved documenting my life through photos, even if I didn't realize that was what I was doing. It all started with me begging my parents to take me to CVS to grab a Kodak disposable camera, using all the film to take photos of anything I could, getting it developed and creating my own personal photo albums that I still have packed away at my parents home. In 2011, my mom purchased the coolest Nikon D5000 DSLR camera (which I eventually took over, sorry mom!!!) and I never looked back.

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, two dogs, and four cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I turn 9 this year 🥳!
