The Boathouse Shelter Island is a private event space located on Shelter Island at the Island Boatyard and Marina. The recently renovated, 4,000 square foot space features over 200 feet of waterfront and incredible sunset views overlooking West Neck Harbor. The historic building, dating back to the 1920's, was originally used as boat storage. Today, it debuts a new look with versatility for any stylish event. Grammy award winning musician and East End resident Billy Joel recorded his album, River of Dreams, at The Boathouse in 1993.

We only cater to one wedding at a time so that you and your guests are the sole focus of our attention. On-site ceremonies are available indoors and out, with a mill pond and lovely beachfront gold coast properties as the backdrop to your exchange of vows. Calissa’s outdoor dining spaces include the tented Garden, covered Terrace and open-air Meadow. Our more intimate indoor spaces are the Private Dining Room, Lounge, Bar, and Main Dining Room. We recommend utilizing either the two outdoor spaces or renting out Calissa in its entirety.
