Having a fun reception was a priority for me and my partner, and we wanted a DJ that kept everyone on the dance floor. We met with him and immediately loved his vibe - extremely easygoing and nice, but it was evident from the first conversation that he is a complete professional. He reassured us he’d make sure that he’d stick to our music taste and make sure he was playing music that kept people dancing and BOY did he deliver!! Our dance floor was jam packed for three hours straight, and I honestly think we could have kept going if we had more time. He was excellent at picking the perfect songs to keep the momentum going, played crowd favorites, and listened to our ‘must play songs’. He threw in a couple slow songs (per our request) at the perfect times, and our speeches and ceremony went off without a hitch - no feedback, perfect volume, easy set up. I didn’t have to worry about a thing with Eric, and I’m forever grateful because your entertainment is a big chunk of your wedding time and he made it so effortless and the most fun night of my life. 100/10, would absolutely book again.”

“I can't say enough positive things about Adam and his assistant, Jack, who made my wedding undeniably FUN. Adam has an indescribably cool vibe. You know how some people just walk into a room and you know the party is about to get started? Add a dapper suit, an air of professionalism, and a great sense of humor, and you have Adam. Oh, and he's really nice, too. Adam always responded promptly to me, whether I reached out to him via e-mail or with a song request from the dance floor. I was highly directive about which songs I wanted to play at the wedding (by "highly directive," I mean that I created multiple playlists to cover every second of the event). Adam was respectful and validating of my choices. He knew how to keep the crowd going by masterfully selecting which songs from my playlists to play when and for how long. As for Jack, most people don't have even a fraction of the energy he has; he really hyped the crowd and got everyone moving. Truly, Jack didn't seem like he was doing a job; he looked like he was feeling the tunes and living his best life. The guests responded in kind. The day after the wedding, several guests commented to me how SHOCKED they were that one guest in particular, who is known as a bit of a wallflower, was out on the dance floor all night. If that isn't the strongest testament to how awesome the Philly Custom DJ team is, I don't know what is. The musical entertainment is not an aspect of a party that one should take a gamble on and risk being mediocre, so I'm very grateful I chose Philly Custom DJ. “We liked Edward Zaruba a lot initially because when we talked, he was concise and seemed fun as opposed to some of the other DJs we spoke to. Picking a DJ was hard because unlike a photographer where you can look through their work, you generally go off of price and vibes because you can’t sit through an entire set as your wedding set list is based off yourself. Edward didn’t talk too much and to be transparent, we didn’t want a DJ that would talk more than they played music, so that paired with his price point made him a good fit for us. We had a good experience with him on our wedding day. His system for the outside was simple but worked the way we needed it to. He hid everything behind some of the greenery so that none of the guests could see it and it would not be in view for the pictures. Even though the weather was windy that day, the microphones picked up well on the all of the sound. He set the groom and officiant up with wireless microphones that were nicely hidden. His speaker was loud and clear for everyone to hear. His system for the inside was also great for the space and the included dance lighting added a nice vibe for the night and turned out nice in our photos. Our only (half) complaint was we gave him a must, MUST playlist (about 6 songs), and only a few of them played. We think this can be attributed more so to lack of time to play all the songs we love and of course know even if we could have spent an additional hour dancing, there probably would have been songs we missed. Outside of that, he picked phenomenal music, and he knew how to transition from one song to the next to keep everyone on the dance floor and having fun. We appreciated his ability to introduce our party and us. He spoke the perfect amount and did great with the nights transitions.”

The midnighters were super easy to work with! They performed for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. “We couldn't recommend Mark enough!!! He is a vendor that is truly there for you and your big day. This is evident by the amount of time he spent meeting/helping us get all our details together, including awesome lights, and he even came to our venue walk-through and rehearsal to help make sure things would run smoothly. “Goody Blue Shoes (GBS) is THE best wedding band. My husband Brad and I looked at a number of bands in the Philadelphia area and none was the right fit...until I met John. I was touring a local venue with my mother-in-law and GBS was warming up. I kid you not - they played two chords of a song I don't happen to like (sorry John, but it goes with the story!) and I was FLOORED. I said to my MIL "I need to get their card" and they heard me whisper from the back of the room. I called John and INSTANTLY felt comfortable with him. He answered all of my probing questions, wanted to lean more about what I was looking for in my traditional Jewish wedding and joked with me about the crazy spelling of my maiden name. We talked for a long time! I told my husband (then fiancé) we MUST to go listen to GBS play a set. Two notes into "You Are The Best Thing" and he was hooked. We spent the next year and a half working out all of the details with John and it was never only about business, it became a friendship. We talked constantly to iron out all of the details and ensure our day was exactly what we had envisioned. John made SURE of that. Our wedding was incredible and a HUGE part of that was because of John and the entire GBS crew. Our family and friends still (two months later) couldn't stop talking about how great they were. Our one friend remarked - "we went to another wedding the night before yours and it was fun, but your wedding was F-U-N, FUN, because of the band." He even got John's card! I quickly became a self-proclaimed GBS groupie and continually encourage engaged friends to hire them - fingers crossed. I also have to mention that GBS traveled from South Jersey all the way to our suburban wedding which isn't right around the corner and for a band of their talent and their size, they are EXTREMELY reasonably-priced. One of the many things I love about John is that he helped me iron out details that weren't even related to the band and offered sound advice and reminders that at the end of the day, we'd be married no matter what. He reassured me that everything would work out. We are eternally grateful to John and GBS for making our wedding the best day ever! “I happened to find Grant on here (Zola) and he really lives up to his reviews, as well as his sound! Grant was an excellent addition to our wedding reception, and I heard nothing but rave reviews all night. He really is a one-man band with a big brass sound. I requested 2 specialty songs for the first dance and father/daughter dance, as well as a PA Polka bridal dance tradition, and he really came through. If you are looking for a live musician, I cannot recommend Grant enough. His punctuation on response and arrival, overall sound and professionalism, and quality of service is outstanding.
