Rice Entertainment

5.0

Hercules, CA
  • DJ
  • Starts at $1,995
  • Serves Diamond Bar, CA for additional fees

Welcome. Rice Entertainment is an event production company with almost a decade of professional DJ, Audio, and Lighting experience. With roots grounded in the Bay Area, Rice Entertainment has served clients throughout the entire Northern California region and across the nation. As an entertainment production company, Rice Entertainment is committed to making each client's event a memorable one by tailoring our services to meet client needs.

My husband and I got married on April 10, 2023 at the Brazilian Room at Tilden Park in Berkeley, CA. Rice Entertainment provided the photobooth for the reception. I was on the fence about getting a photobooth for the wedding but I am SO glad we did! I was such a hit with our guests - everyone loved it. Brandon was so professional and great to work with. Leading up to the big day we had a quick 20-30 min meeting to discuss the wedding colors and our vision. Brandon created a mockup of the background and print outs based on the theme that had our hashtag on it, which was such a cute take-home for our guests. Brandon and his attendant were there all night to support as needed. The photobooth itself was pretty high-end - we were able to do videos, boomerangs, photos, etc. He also brought props to take photos with which were very cute. So, so much fun and definitely worth it! 10/10 recommend.

Wunderland Events

5.0

Seattle, WA
  • DJ
  • Starts at $2,058
  • Serves Diamond Bar, CA for additional fees

We are a talented network of Mobile DJs, MCs, Coordinators and Officiants. We are managed by DJ Wes Wunder and Jacqui V who individually have 20 years of professional experience to elevate your celebration and create memorable moments. Our main single goal in mind: ROCK YOUR PARTY If you're ready to make your big day the best day ever, book your consultation now.

Pick Wunderland for your wedding entertainment!! Jacqui is absolutely fabulous. I was pretty anxious about picking a MC/DJ for our wedding, since they pretty much determine the vibe of your party, but Jacqui was 100% the perfect choice. She is super responsive to any and all questions that come up through the planning process, is super thorough and prepared for every planning meeting, provides great guidance on the flow of your reception, and engages with the crowd in perfect way and amount during the party. Our reception was absolutely perfect, and I feel a lot of that credit goes to Jacqui and the Wunderland team. We also hired a photo booth for our reception, and that was great as well. I've never seen my dad and uncles pose for so many photos together! It made for another awesome way to create memories at the reception.

Bronx, NY
  • DJ
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Diamond Bar, CA for additional fees

Herbert Holler is one of the most recognized, in-demand DJs in New York City and beyond. He specializes in providing the perfect music for your wedding, be it the frenzied dance floor of your reception, the conversation-friendly ambiance of your cocktail hour, or the serene, magical moments of your ceremony. He uses his 25-plus years of event-production experience, extensive knowledge of popular music, 20-plus years of full-time, professional, late-night club and private-event deejaying history, and an uncanny knack for reading party guests to keep you and all of your loved ones happy and having a blast. Holler at Herbert today!

Awarded Best of Zola
Hiring Herbert Holler was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our vision was a longer reception to leave plenty of room for dancing, being together, having fun and really wanted it to be a great time for everyone there, for all ages. HH had everyone dancing at the same time- kids, teenagers, or friends, our parents' friends, and my 89 year old grandmother. He was spot on in reading the room- which wasn't the most straight forward - I asked him to sprinkle some Arabic music in so my Lebanese family could come together over familiar music- all I did was provide him a couple of titles and he ran with the rest. Didn't overdo it, and everybody joined in. It was a dream. HH was professional the whole way through and didn't require tons of collab, and was flexible and quickly responsive. My advice: Hire HH.

The Barnstorm

5.0

Maplewood, NJ
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $12,500
  • Serves Diamond Bar, CA for additional fees

The Barnstorm is an NYC-based party rock wedding band, best known for their electric and engaging dance party receptions. It's been said they're "not a real wedding band," but rather "an incredibly fun and engaging band that just happens to absolutely rock weddings!" Whether it's today's hits, top 40, hip hop, classic rock, Motown, and all things in between, The Barnstorm can do it all - putting their own spin on everything they do.

Awarded Best of Zola
I looked forward to every Tuesday night when my friends and I would gather at Brother Jimmy’s Murray Hill to watch The Barnstorm and dance until we couldn’t feel our feet. I knew in 2017 that one day I would get married and I wanted to recreate this wonderful feeling that I would get every Tuesday night. WELL, joke’s on me because I got that feeling and more. I do not even have words for the atmosphere that The Barnstorm created on our wedding day. Leading up to that day, Brooks was INCREDIBLY attentive to the hundreds of questions that I bombarded him with on a daily basis. He walked me through pricing, how the first dances would go, what kind of music gets played during dinner – every question came with an immediate follow up and a “how are you doing?” – completely above and beyond what a typical wedding band would provide. And that was before our wedding day even happened! The day of was indescribable. The atmosphere provided by The Barnstorm was absolutely electric and had every single person on the dance floor from 8 pm to 1130 pm. I genuinely feel like our wedding was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The band is absolutely magnetic. To top it off about one week after our wedding, as we were reliving the day, I get a text message from a friend saying “we booked your wedding band!”. They are THAT freaking good. If you want to have the best night of your entire life PLEASE look no further than The Barnstorm.

Brian is AMAZING!! He started the party from the get go. I'm at a loss for words with how awesome he is, all of our guests were obsessed with him and said he was a highlight of the wedding. He is a great person outside of how well he plays the sax and truly took his time to make it perfect. He executed everything exactly how I visioned. Will be hiring him for events in the future. Best thing you can do is invest in him!

Notorious V.I.C.

5.0

Palm Springs, CA
  • DJ
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Diamond Bar, CA for additional fees

Music has always been an important part of my life. With over 12 years of experience in the wedding industry, I fell in love with music at a young age, and being a wedding DJ has allowed me to share my passion with my clients on the most important day of their lives. DJing started out as a hobby; I wanted to do more than just listen to music, so I learned creative ways to blend my favorite songs together from different artists and genres to form an experience.

Awarded Best of Zola
Vic did a fantastic job! Vic was incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire planning process of the wedding. He provided us with a detailed shared sheet to fill out which not only helped us communicate easily with him but also helped us figure out what needed to be done on the music end. During the wedding, everyone was dancing and the music was perfect. All of the songs we had requested beforehand were played, he played songs suggested by guests, and it was a great time. We definitely would recommend Vic to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

Kelton from Marquee Artists is awesome - he killed it dj-ing for the clients, the dance floor was non-stop going nuts the whole time! His demeanor is super low-key and easy going, and he was very easy to work with, which means a lot in this field. Weddings have lots of moving parts and can be chaotic, but having vendors that are kind and willing to work as a team makes the day go a whole lot smoother. The couple had lots of requests for songs in completely different genres, but he managed to keep the party going with no awkward pauses and seamless transitions. I highly recommend hiring him if you want someone that's going to work well with everyone and make sure to light the dance floor on fire!

The "Original" Moonlighters ®

3.7

Washington, DC
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Diamond Bar, CA for additional fees

Since 1990, The Moonlighters ® have been performing throughout the U.S. as one of the country’s best-loved and most authentic Motown and variety dance bands, covering all your Jazz/Blues/Oldies/Motown/Soul/Disco/Funk/Classic Rock/Pop favorites! Just close your eyes and you’ll swear the original artists are performing. But don’t close them for too long or you won’t be able to enjoy their outstanding dance moves and showmanship.

We're quite saddened by their google review, posted even before we had a chance to actually speak with them to clear up several serious inaccuracies. Our band has HUNDREDS of positive online reviews/satisfied wedding clients. And we'll always accept valid criticism. But this one is mostly false and unfair. As Zola does not provide the option for responding to negative reviews, the following are our comments: 1. Since the bride and groom hadn't hired a wedding planner everything was extremely disorganized as we received their timeline just one week prior to the event, but then they changed it twice more, including two days before. Despite asking for our bandleader's phone #, the groom never reached out to discuss any of these details. In other words, we were given minimal direction in regard to all of the last-minute changes. Even on the wedding day itself, our band was asked to set and reset their equipment multiple times because the bride and groom disagreed with the onsite coordinator's floor plan, moving/resetting the bride and groom table as well! 2. According to what the photographer told us, the bride and groom's limo driver was over 90 min. late, shifting the entire timeline and putting them in a bad mood from the very beginning, as noticed by our bandleader at around 5:15pm when he first introduced himself, prior to the band providing either live or recorded music. 3. Regarding the recorded music, it was only lacking for approx. 45 min. as the band discovered the phone battery issue at approx. 7:45pm, during their first break, quickly rectifying the situation by putting the phone on a charger and then continuing with the recorded music outside from approx. 8-10pm. Furthermore, they made up for it by keeping their system running for an extra 30 min., beyond our contracted time of 11pm. And those comments regarding the afterparty are also totally untrue as somebody from the band was manning the system, until a cousin of the bride or groom demanded that he use her playlist instead, and then she responded angrily when he finally turned off the system at 11:30pm. 4. As for the band's sound system, we do acknowledge some 'hum' issues as there was just one electrical outlet provided for the entire band, resulting in 'dirty power' which couldn't be fully corrected. And we deeply regret mispronouncing the various names as most were very unfamiliar and of Indian origin, despite our lining up the wedding party in advance and writing everything down phonetically. 5. Even though some of the client's emails mentioned solo keys during cocktails, we provided a duo, covering an extra 30 min. of recorded music from 4:30-5pm at no extra charge, as requested. While it's standard practice for a band to take a dinner break during an almost six hr. event, this was clearly-specified in our contract as well. And then we performed continuously from 8:30-10pm, including most of the requested songs that we had prepared well in advance. So their comments about seemingly just 'walking off a bus' are completely false and misleading. In other words, our musicians went 'above and beyond' in spite of some very challenging circumstances. 6. Fortunately, we did receive a 'happy reaction' with a crowded dance floor and TONS of compliments from the guests, some requesting pictures w/the band too, while even the bride and groom were singing along and dancing non-stop, which we were VERY happy to see, making their negative review even more surprising though!
