Flower Works has been working to create lasting floral memories for the last ten years. We specialize in lush, garden style arrangements but can customize to anyone's request! We are a local Connecticut designer that also serves New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Floral design is our passion and we work to channel that passion into everything we create. The first day I worked in floral design, I knew I was home. It quickly became my passion, inspiration, and outlet and has allowed me to bring so much added beauty to people’s favorite days! It’s all in the details and as overwhelming as it may be, that’s where I find solace! Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 15 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.
