Situated in Eclectic, AL, Marsgate is an elegant mansion wedding venue. Near Montgomery, Auburn, and Birmingham, it is run by the Marr family, who is dedicated to making a couple’s wedding vision a memorable reality. Their goal is to ensure a seamless experience throughout the planning process and the event itself. The Marr family bought Marsgate in 2010 and since then it has been the site of many unforgettable get-togethers with loved ones. The Marrs' dream was to create an event venue that offered a luxurious and convenient venue complemented by amiable hospitality. Inside the mansion, couples and their guests will encounter classic architectural details accented by numerous amenities and stylish furniture. With 12 fireplaces, 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, lofty ceilings, and more, the mansion's sense of grandeur can be felt from the moment of arrival. Marsgate is located on a property spanning more than 70 acres with 20,000 square feet of space for weddings.

We are a new venue in Southwest Georgia, offering multiple outdoor locations to include our front of house, our 25,000 sq ft formal boxwood garden, our open pecan grove OR our newly constructed covered Belvedere.

For over 90 years, The Warehouse has been at the center of Eclectic life. Built in 1928 for Lee Hornsby, the property has been in the family since the 1880s. It held commercial activity for cotton merchandising, lumber and hardware for 3 generations. In 1996, Aubrey Hornsby repurposed it as a social/cultural center. Its massive timbers, red brick walls, old-south charm, natural architectural comfort and grassy lawns inspire down-home livability. It has hosted The Alabama Cotton Festival, church/school events, concerts, theater, receptions and parties. Corporations have used it for photo shoots and as a sound stage. We have held over 600 events including 350 weddings. Upholding the historical structure, improvements have been made to ensure comfort and ease.

Construction on Mistletoe Bough began in 1890 but wasn't completed until 1895. The town banker had the vision to build the grandest home in Alexander City. Raising four boys and one girl, Ruben Herzfeld and his wife Julia built Mistletoe Bough with the perfect combination of elegance and comfort. New to the venue market, Grove Indian Pass, is a home built in the 1920's for the governor of Alabama. Another family bought it and the house remained a private residence until 2021 when it was sold and converted into a vacation rental. This property boasts 5 acres with 200' of water on each side. The dock side faces the Lagoon and back of the house, while the gulf side has 200' of pristine sand and uninterrupted views of the beach. The property can sleep 24 for your special day with 3 separate houses, a game and pool room, as well as a courtyard. There are so many fabulous areas, come check us out yourself!
