I love to create… I’m in my happy place when I’m able to create. My career in floral design started while I was still in college obtaining a business degree. Like a lot of college students, I spent my summer interning in an office environment…and quickly realized that wasn’t how I wanted to live my life. I needed something different, something that would allow me to more fully utilize my creativity and desire to design. When I returned to campus in the fall, I started working part time at a small floral shop. It wasn’t long before I knew I’d found my love and my passion.

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Kelly Lenárd (Len-ard) and I'm a destination floral designer traveling worldwide for weddings big and small. From a young age, I was captivated by the beauty of the natural world. I grew up running through fields, climbing trees, and planting secret gardens. The outdoors was a place of magic where my imagination could run free. Nature is still my biggest source of inspiration. I let the seasons guide the palette and form of my arrangements. I feel great design reflects its environment and I strive to create work that's fitting to its natural surroundings.

Certified by the Academy of Floral Design in Chicago, I bring a unique expertise to each arrangement or event. I have been active in the floral business for over 15 years and have vast experience in both retail and wholesale. I look forward to working with you.

Family Owned. Shelly Schmelter began as a floral designer working in her mother's flower shop when she was a teenager. She built her business doing trade shows and hosting annual holiday open houses held in her home. ​ Established by Shelly in 2004, The Bonnie View started as a home decor boutique in the small town of Hobart, Indiana. Over time, The Bonnie View has evolved into the luxury event florist it is today.

Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

As a special event florist my mission is to create original, quality, lasting keepsake florals, which reflect the beauty and eternal love that they help celebrate. Everything from first contact to completion is done solely through me. Yep, I’m a one-woman show. I love having personal interactions with all my clients and customers. Creating something truly unique for you is my greatest passion. The Poppy and The Peony, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a full service floral and event design studio.
