Flower Works has been working to create lasting floral memories for the last ten years. We specialize in lush, garden style arrangements but can customize to anyone's request! We are a local Connecticut designer that also serves New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Floral design is our passion and we work to channel that passion into everything we create. We can cater to any type of event; whether it be a wedding, shower, anniversary party, corporate event or any other celebratory occasion!

The Barn Door Blooms mission is to design wedding florals to reflect your style and tell your love story. Collaboration is our goal-from initial consultation to design styling conception and installation, we are here to help you design a personal and curated look for your day filled with local, seasonal blooms and decor. The first day I worked in floral design, I knew I was home. It quickly became my passion, inspiration, and outlet and has allowed me to bring so much added beauty to people’s favorite days! It’s all in the details and as overwhelming as it may be, that’s where I find solace! Working as a partner and team mate to my clients, I find, creates the best experience to fit everyone’s needs, keeping the quality of product and experience! With that being said, let’s get to work!

I have worked in almost every aspect of weddings; from serving, to coordinating the big day, to now designing and bringing your vision to life. I just love weddings and seeing people at their very best. I can't wait to help you create a beautiful start to forever.

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
