Therefore, you are front and center, and our staff is dedicated to help make this the most special day of your lives. Sherwood Forest Faire wants to make your wedding a unique reflection of your relationship. Our wedding venues are available on or off season. During the Faire season, more performers will be available, but in the off season we can still help you book entertainment. Our maximum seated capacity in the Event Barn is about 120 guests and in our Saloon maximum seating is 15 people. We also have additional seating areas under the Covered Pavilion behind the Event Barn, as well as throughout the entire property. We have the only AUTHENTIC WESTERN TOWN with a Saloon, a Jail, a Chow Line, a Cowboy Hotel, a rustic Event Barn and a beautiful Outdoor Ceremony Area. We also offer Overnight Accommodations for up to 10 people!

The town of Navasota was founded in 1854 and the tracks brought the railroad by 1859. One of the first buildings built here was a hotel, built by Ms. Louisa Loftin. She was quite the ambitious widow for a woman during the late nineteenth century. Conflicting research shows the hotel was either built as early as 1860 or as late as 1876. She soon met and married P. A. Smith and the hotel bore his name. At first, the railroad brought a great number of patrons, but, unfortunately, the Civil War brought the economy of Navasota as well as the success of the hotel, down, after only a few years.

The “Corn Crib” at Tank Town, was built in the 1950s to store drying ears of corn and converted into a grain elevator when flowable grain changed the industry. Vintage Oaks Farm is a private and secluded wedding venue in the Texas Hill Country. Featuring our brand new open air chapel, Vintage Oaks Farm is a beautiful setting for any ceremony. The Moss Ranch at Enchanted Rock offers the bridal party and family a private, relaxed weekend in the Texas Hill Country starting on Friday allowing time to decorate for the wedding and also having the option of the wedding rehearsal and dinner in the evening. On Saturday everyone can relax and focus on getting dressed for the big event. There will be plenty of time on Sunday to remove decorations before checking out. The wedding weekend package is our most popular option for a most memorable wedding experience.

Summers Mill Retreat and Conference center has been built on a rich history. When it was founded in 1998 by Paul and Jane Meyer, they wanted "this place to be a ministry and to lead with a servant’s heart based on Christian values and principles." The name of our retreat center goes back to the grist mill built by John Myers in the spring of 1866. Business was good and within a year, he added a saw mill and a cotton gin. When John Myers died, it passed in rapid succession through the hands of Robert A. Myers, Douglas McKenzie, and D.C. Summers. Summers installed a crossroads store and secured a post office under the name of Summers Mill.

Hi! M’Kensie here, the younger counterpart of this mother-daughter duo and also just so happen to be much of the story behind how the barn came to be. I was in my final year of college and planning a wedding for the Summer of 2012. I was so very blessed to grow up on our family farm, with a dad who loves to build things and who wanted to make all my Pinterest dreams come true. So as wedding planning began, construction started going up, and PLOT TWIST, the groom and I broke up…..that’s when our family realized God had much bigger plans for the barn. So with a little more time to dream, and much more time for construction, Lone Oak Barn was born. My mom left her teaching job behind, and I joined a few years later, neither of us knowing the community we would gain. Every couple, every family, every vendor, non-profit, and company we’ve hosted has become part of the Lone Oak Family. First, there’s the expansive five-room villa that was once the original school.
