Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.

Dawson Renaud is a nationally-featured wedding and elopement photographer and filmmaker based out of Portland, Maine. Dawson grew up in Southern Maine, where his love for the coast and its natural beauty drew him to photography. Featured by numerous travel agencies, including the Maine, Alaska, and Colorado Tourism Departments, Dawson uses his unique perspective in landscape photography to create beautiful, modern images of couples. His laid-back personality allows him to connect with couples and add their own personal touch to their gallery of images.

As a video production coordinator and cinematographer at Southern NH University and as a photographer with Marisa Lynne Photography, I have photographed and filmed hundreds of events. I shoot almost exclusively with prime lenses and like to keep things creative and free flowing, but I am happy to grab those “must have” shots for the bride. My cinematic and photographic inspirations are Akira Kurosawa, Stanly Kubrick, Sir Roger Deacons, and Dorothea Lange.
