I'm Danette, and I'm a huge nerd. I've been doing photography professionally since 2008. I started my business in New Mexico, did a photography internship in Chicago, then moved myself to Las Vegas where I've run a successful full-time photography business for 9 years before expanding to the Reno and Lake Tahoe areas. As a bonafide nerd, I enjoy video games, watching hockey, drinking whiskey, petting cats, and woodworking. I build a mean wooden box. I also have a weird obsession with Gilmore Girls. My work has been published in many various wedding publications and blogs and I often write guest blogs for photography and wedding websites.

I’m pretty sure that + how smooth they are will be the death of me when they hit puberty! 😱My husband & I have been together 12 years, & celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in January. He's my biggest fan, & I’m his. If only I could teach him how to shoot or get him ordained, like I am, to perform ceremonies. A girl can dream! Wedding & Elopement Photography is my jam!!! I'm a wedding photojournalist based in Las Vegas, with a huge desire to see the world. I'm lucky enough to be engaged (so I know exactly what you’re going through!) to the love of my life, John. Together, we have a home full of animals, go to too many concerts (or at least, we DID before 'Rona), and cook amazing foods in a tiny kitchen. I earned my bachelors and masters degrees in photojournalism from the University of Missouri, *cough cough* known as the best journalism school in the nation. I always thought I’d end up as a National Geographic photographer chasing down wildlife (a la Tiger King), but I think my job now is way better. :)
