I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I started 1828 Collective in 2016 after I realized that capturing relationships and telling love stories was my passion. Four years later I'm so in love with my job that I often forget I'm working. I find joy in capturing love, hearing about how you met, and everything in between.

Hi! I'm Alex! When I'm not capturing love stories, I'm also an occupational therapist, dog mom, and fiancé, planning my own wedding! I'm originally from the east coast, but have lived in a few different areas of the country in my adult life and I LOVE living in Austin! In my spare time I enjoy going to yoga, watching some binge-worthy shows and cooking new recipes!
