Tati And Roman

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500

We are a married couple of photographers. Within years of career, we discovered what’s really matters - we want to make people happy. Weddings have it all: new interesting people, touching stories, warm family relationships, tears. A lot of tears! Oh, don’t forget dances and sparklers! So, it’s fun! 🙂 Also, we love weddings because it’s the most challenging kind of photography in the field, it combines all the genres. It make you think, move and react quickly in constantly changing surrounding. We have no room for mistakes. So It’s never boring! 🙂

Frank and his team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. A friend of ours recommended Frank and New Jersey Wedding Studio to us after they had an amazing experience with him for their wedding. Frank took the time to get to know us on our initial calls, walked us through the pricing and different options for the videography we were looking for. On our wedding day he and his staff arrived promptly and were quick to determine unique video shots we could take as we were getting ready. Throughout the day they were there every step of the way, capturing all the beautiful moments with our friends, family and wedding party. The final products were really special and captured all of these amazing moments we will cherish forever. Frank also put the additional time into editing and adjusting our videos ensuring to implement all of our feedback. We really appreciated Franks patience and dedication to delivering a great final product. Originally we weren't even sure if we were going to do a videographer, and we are so glad we did. We would highly recommend New Jersey Wedding Studio to anyone who wants to capture their special day and have memories to look back on for years to come. Thank you again!!

Florencia Saav Photography

Hoboken, NJ
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,880
  • Serves New York, NY

Hello! I'm Florencia, a wedding photographer based in NY/NJ and I'm looking forward to meeting you! I'm fluent in English and Spanish and I found myself working with multicultural couples a lot. That's one of the many amazing parts of my work. I've been capturing love stories for more than seven years and I LOVE to do this for a living.

Awarded Best of Zola
I could write forever and a day about Florencia. Myself and my husband eloped to New York just the two of us. I found Florencia from Instagram and immediately fell in-love with her work however when I met her .. I loved her even more. As we aren’t from New York it was a lot of video chats to begin with, Florencia was always at the end of the phone when I had any worries, questions or wanting to change my mind … sorry Flo! Haha Flo is friendly, honest, calm and fun - everything you need on your wedding day! Right away we said how nervous we were about the ‘posey’ pics- especially my husband. Florencia put us at ease from the first photo till the last, making sure we knew how to stand, pose and also ensuring we had fun along the way. It never felt like we were posing for a camera at all but just chatting with each other and having fun! The photos are breathtaking and we will forever treasure the memories we made. Florencia captured everything we asked for down to location, poses, and also listened to what we didn’t want which to us was very important. There was only me and my husband on our wedding day so to have Flo by our side was amazing. We began to talk about everything from home life to work & before the end of the day she felt like a huge part of our wedding day. I 100% recommend Florencia to anyone wanting a photographer. Her attitude towards her work and her personality alone is a reason to book her … then you get the added bonus of the amazing photos to keep afterwards. From the bottom of my heart - thank you Flo. You are truly an amazing person.

Justin McCallum Photography

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
Justin is AMAZING! Definitely the best vendor we chose for our wedding. Our pictures came out amazing and he really helped us feel comfortable despite our nerves about being in front of the camera. 100% believe he is a star in the wedding photography community and we are so lucky we were able to nab him. If you want great pictures and a great experience, book Justin always.

Hi, I'm Celeste, I'm from a small town in Spain. Now leaving in NY. I have spent the last seven years getting to know new humans and documenting their stories and connections. How they got into that point of their life, and what makes them light up. I feel it is quite a responsibility and a significant honor to be able to create this legacy for them.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the moment we saw Celeste’s work on her site, we knew we HAD to have her photograph our wedding. Her quality style photos were just stunning, the natural style and unposed pictures we just fell in love with. From the minute we met Celeste, we felt comfort, transparency and overall joy. She is so friendly and approachable and we knew she would blend into our wedding effortlessly. For months up to the wedding, she stayed in touch and when it came to the day it felt like we’d known her for years! During the day she was like a ninja! You never saw her but she was everywhere! From the complimentary engagement photos, to the day of our wedding, Celeste captured so many lovely moments between people we love so dearly and we will treasure these pictures forever! If anyone is even slightly considering hiring Celeste, don’t think about it just do it!!!! You will NOT regret it!!! I promise. Celeste, we can’t thank you enough for your lovely service and we will always be so grateful. We are already talking about renewing our vows in the future and having you photograph this for us haha!!! From the bottom of our hearts thank you!! Te amo

Amy was such a pleasure to work with!! We loved her style after seeing pictures from a friend's wedding and just felt she was the perfect fit for our wedding. She made us both feel so at ease at the engagement shoot, telling us when to adjust so we wouldn't look awkward (which was one of our bigger concerns!) and the pictures from our wedding are just perfect! Kim-Trang Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kim is so easy to work with , she made it so easy for my fiancé who doesn’t like photos. She made the day of the shoot fun! Kim has a very unique style of shooting and editing pics which makes her an AMAZING photographer.

About wedding photographers in New York, NY

How much does a wedding photographer typically cost in New York, NY?

A New York, NY wedding photographer ranges from $400 to $20,000 and averages at $3,000. The cost reflects the number of hours included, if there is a second photographer, any prints or albums, and, most importantly, the experience of the photographer. But every snapshot they take is a priceless memory of your big day — way better than your bestie's blurry smartphone pics, right?

Do most photographers include a second photographer?

94% of photographers in New York, NY offer a second photographer, although it typically depends on the package you book! Second photographers are helpful because one person can’t be everywhere at once, and the second photographer ensures all the details are covered.

Which are the most popular photographers in New York, NY?

Some of the most popular photographers in this area include The Pros Weddings, SweetEmms Photography and Ashley Cynthia Photography.

What else should I keep in mind when booking a wedding photographer?

Are you interested in an engagement shoot as a test run? Drone photography? Wedding albums? All helpful things to ask about when you’re considering which wedding photographer to book!

What questions should I ask a wedding photographer in NYC?

It can be hard to know exactly what you should be looking for when you’re first exploring wedding photographers. You might want to ask questions like, "How do you capture the essence of 'us'?" or "How do you balance capturing our must have shot list without missing out on unexpected candid moments?" Don't forget the nitty-gritty, either. Inquire about their portfolio, if they've shot at your venue before, and how they navigate New York City’s unpredictable elements (because who hasn't seen a taxi photobomb?). Check out our full list of questions to ask your wedding photographer for even more info.

How long does it take to receive wedding photos in NYC?

Picture this: you've said your vows, had the time of your life at the reception, and now you're back from your honeymoon, eager to relive it all through your photos. But you might need to wait a minute, because good things take time! Most NYC wedding photographers will ask for a 4 to 8-week grace period to finalize your photos. They're carefully sifting through the raw emotions and dance-floor shenanigans to deliver a gallery that's as epic as your love story. We know how eager you are to relive those moments, but your stunning snaps will be worth the wait.

How many images are typically included in a wedding photo package?

Wedding photo packages in NYC are as varied as the city itself, but on average, you might see anything from 300 to 700 finished photos. But hey, it’s not just about quantity, it’s the heart-stopping, tear-jerking quality that counts. Make sure to chat with your photographer about what's important to you – maybe it's those candid laughs during the toast or that magical first dance. So, whether you’re aiming for a minimalist album or an epic visual novella of your day, rest assured you'll have enough photos to keep your memories fresh and your heart full!

Are engagement sessions typically included in wedding photography packages in New York City?

Looking for a photographer to capture the excitement of your engagement, too? Look no further. Many New York wedding photographers bundle engagement photo sessionsinto your wedding package, or will add them on at a reduced rate. It's like a romantic pre-game show where you and your SO can get over some of the camera-shyness. Plus, it's a fantastic way to test the waters with your photographer before the big day so you can make sure they’re a perfect fit (and to capture some great shots for your save the dates!).
