I am a stay at home mom of two with a passion for the wedding industry. I had humble beginnings working at David's Bridal about 13 years ago. I then moved with my military husband and took time off of work for school. We had our children and I started work at a bridal couture shop where I rekindled my love with the Bridal industry. From there I met the owner of a flower shop who brought me onboard as an Intern. I worked a season for her and knee this was the life for me! Her doors closed and thus Black Eyed Susan's was created! The business is named after my mom, Susan whom we lost to cancer.

Blooming Envy, LLC was started in January 2005, because of a decade-old passion and desire to work with flowers. Originally, we started out designing flowers for weddings of friends and family. Not much has changed there, we still design flowers for weddings and events of family and we consider all of our clients, friends.

Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

As a special event florist my mission is to create original, quality, lasting keepsake florals, which reflect the beauty and eternal love that they help celebrate. Everything from first contact to completion is done solely through me. Yep, I’m a one-woman show. I love having personal interactions with all my clients and customers. Ever since I was a little girl I always enjoyed helping my mother & grandmother garden. Working with flowers was always a hobby, something I never took seriously as a career choice. In 2012 I met a women who came into my father’s sign shop, she showed me the ropes and everything she knew about the industry.
