Sweetwater Strings was founded as a string quartet in 2007 and has grown to include 20 talented musicians, since adding other instruments like harp, guitar, vocals and piano. We have performed thousands of events in Arizona, from simple backyard weddings to large scale corporate events and concerts, and continue to wow audiences with our energetic and unique covers of popular music in addition to our excellent renditions of classical favorites.

His love for the “Perfect Beat” has helped him develop his very own, versatile style. Akshen has been a music enthusiast since his teen-age years and mastered the art of musical fusion. His unwavering passion for music alongside his immaculate sense of professionalism makes him stand out from the crowd. Akshen has the ability to seamlessly blend a diverse range of musical genres. His engaging stage presence and a knack for sensing the musical pulse of his audience, guarantees an unforgettable experience.

Dan Pinson has toured and performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Mexico, appearing with or opening for Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, BB King, The Beach Boys, Gato Barbieri, Spyrogyra, Kenny Loggins, Jay Leno, Jeffrey Osborne, Keiko Matsui, Selena, and many others. He has concertized with the Arizona State University Orchestra and the Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra. Dan has served as a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University West and was a 22-year Teaching Artist with the Arizona Commission on the Arts. He has presented Jazz education programs to over 30,000 students in Arizona and Mexico.
