In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Forestville Winery and Event Center encompasses 17 acres of beauty and serenity. 2024 marks our sixth season hosting events and memories to guests from all over the world. Our Event building is currently undergoing major renovation and will be completed by April of 2024. The climate controlled space will feature spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.

Stout as a summer retreat for his family and modeled after the famous Adirondack camps. Over the past 25 years, new cabins have been erected and we now have a total of 43 guest rooms on the Island. Imagine a ceremony on the South Lawn with panoramic views of Red Cedar Lake or a tranquil gathering in the former Stout Family master bedroom with a wood-burning fireplace. Stout’s Island Lodge offers an elegant yet relaxed setting with a selection of private event spaces for intimate groups to large tented weddings for up to 175 guests. Enjoy the scenic 6-mile drive from SW Rochester on paved roads to a magical place nestled in the rolling hillsides of southeast Minnesota. We’ve owned and operated our family perennial farm with sprawling gardens which has hosted hundreds of weddings for over 25 years. Our new wedding & events facility is a heated & cooled vintage, European-style carriage house to match our existing civil war era (1858!) brick house. The Carriage House can accommodate 150 guests in the warm months and 100 in the winter. The space flows into the gardens and expansive patio area for additional seating. Bloom Lake Barn is a freshly renovated wedding and event venue located in Shafer, Minnesota near the gorgeous St. Croix River. Set in the picturesque St. Croix valley, Bloom Lake Barn provides that "out of the way" country charm a short 40-mile drive from the Twin Cities. The wooden barn is enormous and contains vaulted ceilings and gorgeous chandelier and cafe lighting. The lower level of the barn is another unique space containing rustic beams and high-top tables built from original stanchions. The courtyard includes a Pavillion, bonfire pit, lawn games, and a walking trail through the woods
