The first time I met them was at my sister’s wedding, I was the maid of honor at the time. Both the photographer and videographer were very professional, and my sister got beautiful pictures and a great video. I did not waste a minute when the time came for me to choose photographers for my wedding. I came up on short notice, my wedding was about 4 months from the moment I contacted them, and I was concerned that they might not have my date available, which would be really unfortunate. Luckily, they were available. The whole booking process went really smoothly, and we got them booked! I knew what to expect from them on my wedding day already, but they’ve surprised me once again! We were behind schedule, by about half an hour or so. Their service should have ended by this time, and they wouldn’t capture our grand exit from the venue. So they stayed late, at no extra charge. At that moment I understood that these guys were looking not to shoot “another wedding”, but they were looking for quality. Without the grand exit, which was really important (we made it as epic as it could be), our wedding video wouldn’t have the ending we wanted. I’m so grateful we booked them, I’ve already recommended them to a couple of my friends, they’ve also been on my wedding day and saw the pictures and the video, they left speechless! Really recommend!

Meet Ellen, a Southern California native and seasoned visual storyteller: I've been photographing events and portraiture since 2017 and specialize in destination weddings and elopements. For me, the best part about being a photographer is getting to witness my client’s once in a lifetime memories being created and knowing that my work will allow future generations to experience those memories as well. I take on all types of creative photo shoots when I'm not shooting weddings.

It was a pleasure to work with Eileen for our wedding photos! She is professional and had offered ideas to help bring out our best moments in the pictures. It takes 30 days for her to deliver the pictures, and I think that it is worth the wait because Eileen provides both color and black & white versions, as well as curating the shots. I personally do not enjoy the idea of sifting through hundreds and hundreds of photos so I appreciate the extra time and effort on her part.

Randall de Leon Photography

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

Randall delivered pictures that were exactly what we hoped for. He and his team were so personable and professional at the same time! Communication was always easy. My husband and I have so many amazing pictures that will forever put smiles on our face as reminders of such a special day! Thank you!

Adam Griffin Photo

5.0

West Hollywood, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $5,000

I’m Adam—a Boston native who’s now roaming around California photographing everything I see. When I’m not behind the camera you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, sipping a dirty martini with friends, jamming to Taylor Swift in the car, or taking my rescue pup Ollie to the park or on long neighborhood walks. I got my first film camera when I was 8, and it was love at first sight. Capturing your story is more than just a job for me. From destination elopements to parties of the century, I've seen it all and love every minute of a wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Booking Adam was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process, and would highly recommend to any and all couples planning a wedding or event. Prior to the wedding day, Adam always made himself available for questions, calls, and even a venue walk so he could better understand the space and our preferences. Adam was extremely engaged during this venue walk through, asking questions to both us and the venue coordinator, providing feedback and context that we hadn’t considered. We booked Adam’s 8 hour package, which was the perfect amount of time for getting ready photos, first look, ceremony, and even a bit of dancing. Adam made us feel comfortable and confident, and was so organized in the chaos of taking our very large extended family photos. He promptly turned around dozens of “sneak-peak” photos the following day, and they could not have turned out better. From every step in the process, Adam’s thoughtfulness and experience shined through, and resulted in the most AMAZING photographs that captured the joy of our special day. We cherish every memory that Adam captured and would book him 100 times over again.

I don’t think I will ever find the right words for Carmen, but if you are reading this because you are still in limbo whether you want to book her for your next big event, STOP whatever it is you are doing and book her right NOW (before its too late and you regret it foreva). It took awhile for me to realize that these are not just photos you look at once in your life, but photos that you will forever be looking back to- the photos you will show your grand babies and so forth. Carmen’s attention to detail from the start is on a different level. She really takes the time to get to know each of her clients to help create each of story through her work. My husband and I are very awkward and we are the worst at posing in front of a camera- but Carmen was a natural at making us comfortable and just have fun/ being ourselves, and being in the moment. She really made us look like we were the best that we couldn’t stop posting our photos. I can go on and on about how amazing her work is- but find out for yourself and experience the magic. Carmen and her team are the BEST! In all honestly, The wedding album was the second best thing we got out of our experience with her. The friendship we were able to build is first! We love you Carmen!!

Stephen Tang Photo

5.0

Pasadena, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $4,100

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
I can not express how much I appreciate Stephen's work for our wedding (but I'll give it a try). From the first time we met, I could tell he was exactly what I was looking for. Someone who could take a group of dorky introverts and make them look like the stars of the show without making us feel silly or stressed. On the day of our wedding, he was able to keep up with our crazy huge wedding party and fast paced timeline. He was a hit with my family, my grandmother is still talking about how sweet he was and what a great job he did. After the wedding he took a couple weeks to edit the photos( a very quick turnaround in my opinion). I was absolutely dazzled. The moments he was able to capture will be celebrated in the family album for decades. I would recommend Stephen to anyone that wants a beautiful and personal photography experience that will truly reflect the soul of his subjects.

Mirage and Light Photography

5.0

Long Beach, CA
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,600

Photography is my creative dream come true and it is so incredibly special to be able to capture memories that other people will love and cherish for many, many years. Around high school, I found out for myself how important these memories were. Not just the ones I was creating currently but the ones that I couldn’t get back. I would look back on these photos and think, "I remember how happy I was that day." "Aww, my little brother was so tiny then!" Or even, "What was I thinking when I wore that outfit??" These little snippets of time carried such a significance for me that I wanted other people to feel that way about their memories, too.

Amanda has brought my vision to life and captured timeless memories of our wedding. What sets her apart from other photographers is her unique style and professionalism. Our photos have even been selected by Southern California bride! Besides the beautiful photography, she made us feel very special by surprising us with little Polaroid pics during the wedding, a very cool retro photo viewer, personalized box with the photo flash drive and lots of other unique gifts, which felt very special and thoughtful.

Porterhouse Los Angeles

My name is Zyaire Porter and I am the photographer of Porterhouse LA Weddings. Born & raised in Los Angeles, I have been capturing weddings professionally since 2013. I have been #TeamNikon since the beginning and currently shoot with the Z9 + Z7. I answer every email myself (no bots or assistants).

Awarded Best of Zola
Porterhouse LA did a fantastic job photographing our wedding. Zyaire was artistic, punctual, and precise. We received our photos very quickly after the wedding, and are absolutely in love with them. We’ll treasure these for the rest of our lives, and have had so much joy from sharing them with others. The comments we’ve received have all been about how beautiful the wedding looked, how good everyone looked, and how gorgeous the photos were overall, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Zyaire met with us over Zoom twice before the actual wedding, and took every one of our concerns and questions seriously. He had a good answer to everything, and it convinced us that we were dealing with a consummate professional. We also asked him to shoot our welcome party for guests, and he was able to oblige with that, as well. We first met him in person for the welcome party, and he was already there when we arrived, getting background shots of the venue. This was something we hadn’t even considered, but it was really valuable - having shots of the venue, and the venue for our wedding, helped put the other photos in context for people who weren’t able to attend, and gave us mementos of the locations themselves.

Hi! I'm Kelsey! Fun-loving, boba-obsessed, dog-mom living in sunny SoCal. I have a very natural and candid style of photography where clients don't look or feel "posed" but are simply being in the moment! I'm passionate about capturing the essence of your relationship, whether intimate, goofy, quirky, affectionate, and everything in between. I'm known for my friendliness and light-hearted personality! I help make shoots feel very comfortable, candid, fun, and genuine to each relationship.

Awarded Best of Zola
Bride // Kelsey was an absolute blessing for our courthouse elopement in April at the Laguna Civic Center! From the first inquiry, she made us feel at ease with a couple check-ins before the big day. She put together a great package for us where she not only accompanied us to the courthouse, but also allowed us to go get some great beach shots. In typical SoCal fashion, the day was hot and traffic from the courthouse was a mess, but Kelsey handled it all beautifully. Within a few hours, she had a highlight reel ready for us to share with our loved ones. Not only that, but within only a couple weeks she had our first set of photos ready! Her editing style is warm and just what we were looking for to capture all our memories so we were beyond delighted when we saw the results were nothing short of amazing. Working with Kelsey really was a breeze and she was so personable and friendly it truly felt like we were with someone we’ve known for a long time! Kelsey will definitely be our go to for any future milestones!

Jess is a wedding photographer serving couples from Los Angeles to New York City. She specializes in documenting moments with honesty and optimism to showcase her couples’ love for each other, love for their people and their love for a damn good time. “My work is bold, enduring, and honest.” With more than a decade of experience as a photographer and a background in fine art and film photography, Jess approaches each wedding with intention and a sense of novelty. She works in both digital and film mediums and her work has been featured in publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Destination I Do and Brides.

Awarded Best of Zola
Choosing Cheers Babe / Jess as our wedding photographer was hands down the absolute best wedding decision we made! I honestly think Jess might be an angel because that's how big of an impact she had on our day. First off, Jess is just a kind, caring, funny and bubbly human being. She makes the awkward feelings of being in front of a camera melt away in 2.5 seconds without even trying. Jess also has impeccable taste and was such a good sounding board for ideas I had on our day of (ie. that probably won't look the way you way you think it will or yes, love that so much!!). Her responsiveness and support put me at ease so more times than I can count. Jess also took time to get to know my husband and I so it was that much easier to feel like ourselves around her which TOTALLY shows in our pictures. On top of all that, Jess was amazing at working with my other vendors, managing details, and of course was on time and on the money with everything she said she'd do. She even had a sneak peak of photos for us to look at before we even boarded a plan to our honeymoon. So on to the actual pictures themselves...this is probably a bit TMI for a wedding review but I was very insecure about getting my pictures taken for my engagement shoot and wedding. Jess was able to not only make me forget about my insecurities during our first session / engagement photos but then literally brought me to tears as I saw how stunning our photos turned out. Every ounce of insecurity I had was gone after that and it's entirely because of Jess. She was a blast at our wedding. All of our guests loved her and you can actually feel the vibe of our special day when you look at any of the photographs. We will never have enough words to express our gratitude to Cheers Babe but we can say BOOK HER AS SOON AS YOU CAN! Photographers with this kind of talent are one in a trillion!!

Perfectly Imperfect, for the madly in love. I'm David Scott Bowles—a creative soul who traded chef's knives for a camera lens, diving headfirst into the world of photography. For over ten years, I've been capturing not just pictures but tales—each click a chapter in a visual story. My style? It's a mashup of boldness and moody vibes, adding depth to every frame. My work's graced the pages of Shutter Magazine, Voyager Magazine, and even landed spots in the esteemed LA Times. From snazzy commercial shots to soul-stirring fine art and heartfelt wedding tales spun under Hayden and Harlo, my portfolio’s a colorful spectrum.

Your experience with me starts long before you step in front of my lens. I take the time and energy to get to know you & your story, so that I can capture the parts of your relationship that are authentically YOU. So that you can look back on the photos from this season of life, and feel like you're right back in that moment, feeling those same feels. To me, a perfectly posed & still photograph doesn't capture a feeling the way that a candid one can. I direct my couples to create images that are full of movement and those intimate in-between moments.

Shelby is so easy to work with and cares so much about her craft. It shows in her work, the time and effort she puts into her business, and her communication with her clients. I was overwhelmed and a bit nervous about choosing a photographer because there’s so many out there - plus, you want someone to fit your needs for your most special life memories, capture your vision, etc etc. Shelby will do that. She AMAZED me. If you want a photographer who you can be sure will check all the boxes, you’ll have made the right choice with her. She made us feel like naturals in front of the camera, picked the most amazing shooting location, and really knows what she’s doing. Also her turnaround time on photos was amazing. I would book her again and again and refer her to people whenever I can!!!

Victoria has an extraordinary talent for capturing moments that are not just beautiful but also iconic. Each frame tells a story, evoking the emotions and the essence of the day. The candid shots are pure magic, freezing moments in time that we will cherish for a lifetime. Sarahi Photo

Long Beach, CA

My name is Sarahi. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Since a child, I loved photographing with old polaroids and disposable cameras.. My family used to complain about the 100's of pictures I captured and how many rolls of film I used. Now, I look back at pictures from 10+ years ago, and see the beauty of "stopping time" in photos and keeping them forever. I see how it brings happiness to the people around me and myself. Nothing makes me happier than people looking back at precious memories. I can't wait to extend this experience to you and create an everlasting memory that you can carry for years to follow.

Sarai was great! and loved her team! I recommend Sarai to photograph your wedding. We had a great time with her and the process was great. She kept answering our questions and helped us plan a realistic wedding photo timeline and was a great help with our outfit choices for our engagement.

Hey future newlyweds! I'm Jarrod, a wedding photographer that specializes in story telling. Tired of all the bright, overposed, cookie cutter sh*t you keep seeing? Let's create wedding images with real emotion, story, and intention to them. I know being in front of the camera can be awkward. That's why I choose not to pose couples, but instead prompt you to do something like "take off your shoes and run across the field" or " get inside the car and kiss everywhere except the lips". These prompts will help you feel comfortable and also help create candid images. Check out my website for more info :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Jarrod and his wife, Taylor, are truly a dream to work with! My husband and I really wanted some simple engagement photos taken, but were reluctant because we’re not totally comfortable in front of the camera and didn’t want the poses/photos to look cheesy. Taylor gave us plenty of suggestions to pose us naturally and kept us laughing which put us at ease immediately. Jarrod was such a professional and really worked every angle and background to make it look like we spent an entire day shooting. The editing was super crisp and clean and the photos came back incredibly quickly. They far exceeded our expectations and we can’t thank them enough for giving us beautiful, lasting memories from such an important time in our lives. This couple is seriously amazing - genuine, fun, and experts at what they do!! Book them!

We first met Michael as the photographer for our close friends' elopement. His personality was great and he eased our nerves throughout the multiple locations of shooting photos. When my now-husband and I got engaged, we already knew that Michael was our guy! He didn't bat an eye when we asked him to walk a half-mile into the woods carrying his equipment with us for our engagement photos. The photos came out great and were perfect for printing on our wedding invitations. He delivered the photos promptly and we were in love with them! Communications up to the wedding were easy and he was very collaborative. He also asked us what was important to us, and took and gave direction very well. On our wedding day, he and his assistant were so great to work with. Not only did they calm my nerves and reassure me, but they handled communications with the wedding party greatly and made the process feel effortless, even as I was behind schedule (my fault). The photos were delivered much quicker than I anticipated and they are BEAUTIFUL! We are so happy that we stuck with Michael and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for someone fun and easy to work with who does great work. Thanks, team!!

Hello! My name is Brenda and I've resided in SoCal all of my life. Living in Los Angeles has given me the opportunity to explore many beautiful places right here in my backyard, I enjoy hiking and backpacking as well as eating all of the diverse food we can find here! How did I get into Photography? A Middle School project that required us to document our everyday lives sparked that interest and I've had a camera with me since then! Having been a bride myself a few years ago, I know how important photos are. I put myself in your shoes and make sure to document all of the small details and moments as well as the can't miss big moments!

Awarded Best of Zola
I love photos and photography was one of my must have, high quality items for our wedding. Our original photographer had to back out (with plenty of time and notice) so we found ourselves back at the drawing board several months before the wedding. I found Brenda and loved that her images showed a diverse clientele - as a plus size bride with a SO over 6’ tall, that was something that really mattered to me. By the end of our Zoom meeting I wanted to hug her! I felt confident she was the right fit. When the big day came around, not only was her presence instantly calming (things had already been going wrong that morning) but she was incredibly helpful every step of the way, including trying to find a dropped earring, closing my necklace because everyone’s nails were too long, making sure I had space to take a break when my nerves overwhelmed me. We just got some of our sneak peeks in and wow…I’m crying all over again. She captured moments between my SO and I so beautifully, you can feel the love we have for each other. It sounds cliche, but it’s true! Not only were we pleased with Brenda, our guests and wedding party all had such kind things to say about her - how many weddings have you gone to and complimented the photographer, as a guest?! If her style is one that you like, don’t hesitate to hire Brenda. I can’t wait to take more photos with her as we grow old. She was an important part of our day and, for me, the best person to have by my side throughout the chaotic day. I was so happy to have her as part of our adventurers club.

We hired Nate, Vanessa & Keren to shoot our welcome party and wedding and HOLY COW they blew us away! From our first meetings over Zoom, we knew we'd made the right choice. Aside from their obviously gorgeous work, we chose them because their vibe is so down to earth, comforting, and fun. During the two parties, they were efficient and blended right in with our guests so all of our pictures felt organic, which was important to us. We opted to do half on film, half on digital and were completely speechless at how it all turned out. The cherry on top was how quickly we got our pictures back: we got the email one month after our wedding while we were on our honeymoon! So special to relive that day in that setting, and we were so impressed with that turnaround. We already know we'll be hiring this team down the road once we start a family. Their work is so, so special. We truly can't recommend them strongly enough! We wish we could give 10 stars!!

Jason "Snorlax" Cun is an all around photographer that currently resides in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in the heart of Los Angeles, where he found his calling in photography. He aims to capture the beauty of the world and the people in them. He has recently begun his travels around the U.S capturing the life of those within that city.

Jason was recommended to me by a family member, and to this day, I'm so grateful. Jason was so quick with communication. He responded and asked for details from the very beginning. He was easy to talk to. We ended up booking him for our engagement photos AND our wedding photos. Our engagement photo session was seamless. Jason was easy to work with and he made my (now) husband and I feel so comfortable. Photo sessions do NOT have to be awkward with Jason. He recommended the LA Arboretum and the Pasadena City Hall for our shoot and we couldn't have asked for any better location. Jason knew exactly where to go and what to do. When it came time for our wedding day, Jason and Mae (his second) were so nice. They did not rush us for any photoshoot. He had us take our time, take breathers, and helped us stress about one less thing during the day. We just got our photos back and they are downright GORGEOUS. I could not believe these were us. I am still amazed by it all. The turnover time was so quick as well. Again, communication was so easy with him. I HIGHLY recommend Jason as a photographer. We could not have asked for anyone better.

Born in the desert (AZ Baby!) and relocated to the sea. I firmly believe that a good day starts with a cup of coffee and ends with glass of red wine. I own more jewelry than I do clothes and in my opinion, too much gold does not exist. My biggest passion will always be photography. I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a little girl – I would even set up “stylized shoots” in my family’s living room that consisted of sheets pinned to the wall, my friends and fake flowers (embarrassing, but I’m not kidding!). I strive for those editorial, Vogue-like shots, but I really live for those private, in-between moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
As a wedding planner, I get the opportunity to work with many photographers. BY FAR, Kristina Lee Photography is my all-time favorite! Not only does she have an artistic eye for capturing moments, but she also makes the couples feel comfortable and relaxed. Kristina also is a team player with the rest of the vendors. Her turn around time for images is like no other. The generosity of what she pours into her craft and service is admirable! Kristina is both professional and playful which clients love and trust! I have no hesitation in recommending Kristina Lee Photography. As a matter of fact, I highly encourage it! You'll have the best pictures with the most delightful photographer!

Rebecca y Las Otras

South Pasadena, CA
  • Photojournalistic style

I am a documentary wedding photographer -- I'm all about capturing real moments. In my photographs, I’m always shooting with an eye for color, light, and dynamic shadows. I integrate these technical aspects with my background in film, literature and storytelling so with every wedding, I create a series of documentary photos that recreates the authentic narrative of a day. I’m always chasing the candid, the emotional, even the un-noticed everyday details; things that make you do a double take, little moments that make your heart swell.

Awarded Best of Zola
I showed my best friend some of Rebecca’s work when we were searching for photographers and she marveled that the folks in Rebecca’s photos “feel so much more like real people than other shoots like this.” That precisely captures Rebecca’s work + energy and confirmed our decision to work with her! We worked with Rebecca for our elopement ceremony and our tea ceremony and it was truly a special experience. Rebecca made an huge effort to know and support us as a couple before the event, which helped us trust that she would be there to capture all the right moments and then some! Our family and friends all loved her and we got many questions about how we knew her and if she was a friend of ours (she is now!); this really speaks to her kind, open, and genuine presence. She moved the event along while also treating everyone with respect and compassion. We already knew that her work was incredible and we couldn’t be happier with our own results. We cannot recommend Rebecca enough! You’ll get beautiful, soulful photos and the chance to have an amazing human in your life if you book her!

Long Beach, CA

I live in Long Beach with my husband, and our beautiful dog-daughter Rita. If I'm not photographing my incredible clients, I'm watching any entertainment I can, from the latest HBO shows or movie releases. But, there's nothing better than drinking a beer and laughing at some quality reality television if you ask me! I also love reading while drinking coffee in the morning, but nothing tops hanging with my friends and family, enjoying some drinks and sharing some laughs.

My Fiancé and I got the chance to work with Kathy for our engagement pictures at Disneyland! It was extremely hot that day and super crowded, but that never even phased her. I was so impressed with her ideas of capturing us together. She has so much patience to take the time to capture the shot just right before we went on to the next site. We received our pictures in a week and we love them all, it’s extremely hard to just pick one as our favorite! Currently she offers custom albums what we can’t wait to order and have forever! We loved working with Kathy and can’t wait to see her at our wedding!

Hi you guys, my name's Natalie, & I'm so glad you're here! I’m a joy-filled, Southern California surfer girl who is in love with capturing weddings.  My style? It’s timeless, romantic, adventuresome, & personal. I’m dedicated to capturing fine elegance + raw beauty all the while keeping it real + being authentic. Your job is to be in love & live in that excitement with each other. My job is to make it easy + enjoyable for you two to be yourselves, 100%, as I frame and capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments in a way that only my mind can. Congratulations to you both! Looking forward to getting to know each other! xx Natalie

You always picture how your wedding will be. The amazing feeling you will have to see everything you envisioned come together into one beautiful day. How much fun you will have getting ready in the morning with your best friends, sisters, and momma’s. And the love in your Husbands eyes when he see’s his future wife walking down the aisle. You picture the beauty of the day both visually and emotionally, and how you will cherish those memories forever. Perhaps one of the most import jobs on your wedding day is given to who you entrust in capturing those moments. I met Natalie through work. I am a wedding coordinator, and I had reached out to her when I started working in the area. I was in awe over her talent, and straight away felt a connection to how she captured such pure and beautiful moments. I knew after meeting her that she would one day be my wedding photographer! Our wedding day was everything that I could of ever asked for. It was such a incredible day with so much love and beauty. Natalie absolutely blew my already very high expectations out of the water. She is so good at what she does. Natalie made taking all of our photos so much fun. She knew when to allow us to have space and be in the moment, and when to direct and take charge. You want to be able to get caught up in the moment on your wedding day and not have to be the one worrying about who to take photos with or what needs to be captured next. She did such a wonderful job at making sure we got all the shots we needed, but allowing us to enjoy and have fun with all of them. From standing on chairs, to driving up hills, to dancing with us on the dance floor Natalie did whatever it took to get the most raw and sincere footage of our most special day. My husband and I cry every time we look through our wedding album and that is a huge thanks to Natalie Schutt Photography.

I'm admittedly wary when it comes to the Wedding Industry and all of it's bells/whistles/expectations, and at the same time, I believe wholeheartedly in the power of community, love, commitment, and collective joy. I think that weddings-- in all of their forms and reclamations-- ultimately serve a great purpose in reminding us of these gifts. I come from a long line of meticulous documenters and hold a degree in Sociology, all of which informs the way I approach photography. I am curious about people, am in awe of the display of emotion, and am passionate about the ways in which we construct family and community.

Kenzie is an incredible photographer and story teller. I am so grateful we found here. We used her for our wedding and photos when our kid was 6 months old. Would 100% recommend her to others and would use her again. Her photos are thoughtful, stunning, and help me remember specific parts of our wedding now years later.

Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

My name is Jonathan Moore. I am a Los Angeles based wedding photographer and available worldwide. I'll get right to it: The very last thing I want is for you to think of your experience with me as a "photoshoot." I think that posed "prom" photos are totally lame and reflect absolutely nothing unique about you or your partner. After all, you are not actors pretending to be "in love," so why should your images reflect that? At the core, your images should ultimately remind you of why you fell in love in the first place. This is what we're celebrating!

Awarded Best of Zola
Jonathan was the photographer for our wedding and absolutely blew us away with his work. His photos are so gorgeous and perfectly captured the best weekend of our lives. We did a two-night wedding party on the Oregon coast, and Jonathan covered both days and both nights to make sure we had the perfect documentation of our weekend. He picked out the perfect spots for shots after the ceremony, and worked hard to get us in the best light filtering through the trees as we did a little post-ceremony hike in the rainforest. Jonathan also fit right in with our friends when he wasn't busy photographing, and our guests thought he was just one of our friends they hadn't met yet who happened to be a photographer. I would rate him 10/10 on technical photography skills and professionalism, and 11/10 as a person. Our cousin Levi, who has Down's Syndrome, attended and wanted to help photograph the wedding day. Not only was Jonathan fine with having another person photographing near him, he was giving Levi tips on how to position the subjects (us: bride and groom) in the best light and how to compose the shot, at the same time as he was doing his own shooting!! Those specific photos turned out to be magnificent and I will always remember what was going on behind the camera when I see them too. That was a really memorable moment for me and really illustrates what you can expect to get from Jonathan.

Hi! I'm Hannah, your So Cal (but traveling) elopement and intimate wedding photographer! I'm so glad you're here. My photography style is a documentary/natural photographer. This means I'm more about documenting your moments and helping you create genuine smiles/moments in photos, opposed to just posing you, i want you to dance and have fun, snuggle into your partner and get those intimate moments. (I'll of course help you figure out what to do with your hands, because lets me honest, even I don't know what to do with my hands in photos. Haha) I love traveling, I love adventure, and I love making friends out of my clients.

Having Hannah as our wedding photographer was easily the greatest decision we made! Hannah was incredibly professional, kind, informative, easy to work with, easy to talk to, great communicator, and listened to all our needs. My husband and I are very awkward and uncomfortable when it comes to taking photos (taking professional photos was a new thing for us) and Hannah made sure we were comfortable from start to finish. By the time the wedding came around we knew exactly what to do thanks to her easy to follow tips, tricks, advice and guidance. Hannah captured our wedding beautifully, and we are forever grateful for her. We will be going to her for our future events and highly recommend her to everyone.

Fitz Carlile Photography

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

The kind of work I do within the wedding photography genre is very distinct - every image stands on its own as a thoughtful composition as if from a cinematic art house film or high-end commercial/editorial shoot. My color grading is immediately identifiable and unique - developed through years of studying color theory - uncommon today in a sea of 'presets' that other photographers purchase on the internet for they have no knowledge of how to build their own. My compositions are often quirky, surprising, different. I always attempt to show a point of view that's uncommon and fascinating to the viewer.

Awarded Best of Zola
Fitz Carlile is a master of light, and can make virtually any setting look like the most romantic place in the world. He immediately puts you at ease. We had to scrap our original wedding plans due to COVID-19, but Fitz remained a willing and enthusiastic participant through it all. Our recommendation to couples trying to plan weddings in this crazy time we've all found ourselves in? Go small. Don't cancel. And your photographer should be your number 1 priority. Photographs are the only concrete thing you'll own to remember your special day, and you will not be disappointed with Fitz. He's a true storyteller and his photos are magic.

THE GOLD COLLECTIVE

South Pasadena, CA
  • Editorial style

Authentic, timeless, essence, natural, and candid are the most significant narratives when capturing a wedding day and are always at the center of the brand's heart. We love natural light, a strong action-stopping camera flash, capturing enchanting couples with inventive dance moves, making new friends, a flowing champagne tower, and a heartfelt toast.

I LOVE working with Ivy. I sifted through what felt like 50 wedding photographers and came out completely defeated because while they were talented, their photos didn't capture what I was hoping to remember looking back at my wedding day photos. Then I randomly found Ivy and she easily is the best thing I've ever found on Google, no joke, hahah. Her style of photography and approaching our wedding day allowed us to still take the traditional family portraits, but honestly, I hardly look back on those compared to how much I fawn over all of the other photos of the day/night that she took. They look straight from a magazine and Ivy made it so easy to be comfortable and completely trust that she would give us incredible photos, which she totally did. I seriously can't recommend Ivy enough. I actually still keep in touch with her because she's so talented and we collaborate often! (:

I’ve always had a love and fascination with movies, tv shows, Vanity Fair magazines, and looking at the history and style from the Mad Men era. They have something so timeless and yet meaningful about them?! Both their posed and candid moments – I DIE! I have been so fortunate that I’ve been able to take the things that inspire me and apply them organically to my wedding photography.

We booked because we loved her style and our first call to get to know each other went so well! Georgie has a fantastic team. We had Elaine as our first shooter and Richard as our second shooter. Georgie picked out an amazing spot for our sunset photos before the day, plus provided tons of helpful info, like checklists for the day of. After getting a few quotes for photography/videography I realized it was more expensive than I thought it would be but I said to myself, if that's the price now a days, let's do it! I decided to sleep on it and make my decision the next day. I was scrolling on my social media when I see an ad from BigDay Memories and the very first thing that caught my attention was the price so I went to their profile and checked them out. I immediately submitted a quote and they responded in a timely matter. From the very first conversation I had with Pasha, I knew I had found the right team. I told him what I was looking for and he told me they can get it done. And boy! Did they deliver The whole team is amazing. Everything was so stress-free. Their communication was on point. They brought my vision into reality and they made it 10000x better. They will forever be recommended on our end. If you're looking for photography/video look no further cause you've landed at the right place! Hanna Walkowaik Photography

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $6,500

Hanna Walkowaik is a wedding photographer based in Los Angeles, California, frequenting Chicago & NYC, traveling all around the world to capture love. Hanna creates artful and storytelling images of your day using digital and film. Her photos are filled with vibrant colors, candid moments and touches of nostalgia. She mixes editorial and documentary styles to not only give you beautiful portraits and captured memories but artistic images to hang in your home. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography her approach is artistic, purposeful and technically skillful.

Hanna is truly exceptional! We could not have asked for a better person to capture our wedding day. When my now-husband and I first started searching for wedding photographers, we were drawn to Hanna for her immensely beautiful and versatile portfolio. We spoke over Zoom and felt immediately comfortable with her — she has such a calming presence, made us feel like we had been friends forever, and assured us that she would help our vision come to life. We didn’t have much photography knowledge — we knew we wanted to take some shots in a nature setting like a park, and that we wanted someone who could capture color, as our venue had a specific aesthetic with green and blue walls. Hanna provided the most wonderful guidance for our photos and our day — she scouted many locations around our venue for our wedding portraits, taking into account the proximity and the nature setting we wanted. When we picked one, Hanna went to the spot the week before at the exact time we’d be there, so she would know the specific lighting and locations that would best fit. She also, months in advance, made a timeline for us to help guide the day and ensure that we had a schedule to keep everything on track. This was SO helpful and made the day so much smoother. On the day of our wedding, Hanna couldn’t have been more magnificent. She made us feel so at ease, which was paramount on a day that had so many heightened emotions. We aren’t used to working with professional photographers and were initially nervous that we would feel awkward, but Hanna truly made us feel so calm, comfortable, and joyous. She made the entire experience SO fun, and multiple of our wedding guests commented on how kind she was to them. Now the photos…the PHOTOS. Within a week of our wedding Hanna sent us our sneak peeks — about 160 of them, which is far beyond what we expected. They are stunning. Truly, stunning. She has sent us a gorgeous mix of color, black and white, and film. Our wedding day felt like such a whirlwind and Hanna captured all the emotions and all the moments in ways that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. I can’t look at them without being transported back to that day and the specific happenings — from our first look to our first dance — and feeling so overcome with happiness. I can’t choose a favorite because they are all stunning (and all our friends and family keep telling us with how much they love our photos). I’m especially appreciative of Hanna scouting a spot right near our getting ready spot that we hadn’t seen before that looks like a forest, and having us pose there for truly magical pictures. We also have some night shots and some photos from the bar area at our venue that look so editorial and glamorous that I can’t believe it’s us. Trust me, work with Hanna and follow her guidance. She leads with thoughtfulness and intention and it shows. You will get to know a terrifically talented and kind person and your wedding photos will not only be aesthetically marvelous, but you will feel like you get to relive your wedding day every time you look at them. Hanna is THE BEST and we are so grateful to have had the honor of working with her.

I believe the best photos occur when... artistry and intentionality meet moments of heartfelt connection. I'll guide you towards the dreamiest light and offer unobtrusive direction that lends to natural movements and sincere emotion. I also slow things down and help re-center everyone, creating space for beautiful moments to unfold, like mom fluffing your veil, dad's expression when he sees you all dressed up, and fleeting looks between you and your partner.

Elyana is so easy going and fun. She will be a calming presence on your big day, but will also know when to gently take control to keep the schedule going. She knows how to capture images filled with beautiful light and a lot of emotions. When I look back at my wedding images, they really feel like us. They don't look forced or overly posed. I feel like they really capture our spirits, so to speak. This kind of photography doesn't just require technical skills, but that's when the true artistry kicks in, and this is what sets Elyana apart. We'd choose her again any day!

I'm Becca, a midwest transplant in Los Angeles (yes, one of those people), wife/homebody, Christian, and newfound happy plant lady. My day is made whenever I see a cat, I cycle through re-watch binges of my favorite shows constantly, and I always have something home-baked on hand in my kitchen. I’m pretty used to third-wheeling it and am excited to be any couple’s wedding day companion and new lifelong friend & coffee date!

My husband and I absolutely loved having Becca as our videographer! I could not recommend here more! We were referred to her by our photographer and were so happy with the decision to use her! Prior to hiring her we met for coffee and immediately felt like she understood our vision for the video. She was so detailed in her preparation for our wedding and made us feel so at ease on the day of. Going into our wedding day, the idea of a camera following you was intimidating. We were worried we would be so focused on the fact that she was catching our every move but when our wedding day came it was the complete opposite. She did an incredible job of catching the perfect moments and really showing our love without it looking forced or staged. The way she shoots is incredible – she captures the perfect natural light and the love and excitement you feel on your wedding day. She even ended up having a drone on which we did not expect and were so excited about! Following our Saturday wedding, we received a teaser of our wedding video on Tuesday morning and were overjoyed with excitement! It truly was everything we dreamed about and so much more! I think we’ve watched it at least twice a day since our wedding! I could not recommend Becca more!

We are Sienna plus Josh, adventure elopement photographers [who also eloped!] in 2011 and we have been shooting weddings and adventuring ever since. We are here to help you navigate the path of forging your OWN path. Going the adventure elopement route is intimate, authentic, and empowering...with a day that is truly reflective of your relationship and defines the two of you! One of the best things about eloping is that you get to throw away the rule book and write your own. Whether that is spending your wedding day on a mountaintop in Oregon, among the waterfalls in Iceland, or the warm desert of California.

Sienna and Josh were so helpful with our elopement. They went above and beyond to make the event as fun and easy going as possible. Their suggestions for locations and floral arrangements were perfect! They really helped our elopement plans take shape and made us feel comfortable so we could each our special day to the fullest! They took the time to get to know us and take unique photos that captured the day perfectly. We were very happy with the final result and impressed with the amount of dedication and kindness that they showed to us.

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Hands down the best photographer for your wedding! Thank you Daniel for our memories!

It me! I am your new third wheel, your new childhood friend, your new girl behind the camera! I've been doing this whole living my dream thing for 7 years now and I couldn't be happier! It all started one fall summer night at winters end... totally kidding one day I just said "F-THIS! Photography makes me unbelievably happy, Let's do this!" But my joy is not only from photographing love. It's also because I married the most amazing man on this planet. Leonard is my best friend of 10 years and husband for 7! I still dream about our wedding day and feel like I am always living in that wedding day happiness.

Cindy was a dream photographer to have. She’s so caring, responsive and professional. We had a couple mishaps with the cake and first dance but Cindy knew what to do to fill in the time and what to shift on our timeline which put me at ease on our big day! I would recommend Cindy to everyone because she will honestly be the best photographer you could hire. She checks all the boxes plus her photos, don’t even get me started, I never felt so pretty in life! She captured treasure moments that’ll last forever!

My earliest memories of photography are from when I attended weddings at 5 or 6 years old. I would photograph everyone at these weddings with a small, plastic, film camera and loved every moment. That joy of photography and capturing beauty and love has stayed with me ever since. I have a better camera now, but I still can't wait to capture your love.

I have hired Tom to take headshots for me as a musician, as well as to photograph my engagement to my fiancee in August 2020. He is extremely talented as a photographer, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better for those jobs. He makes clients feel comfortable and beautiful, which gets them to look and feel their best for the photos.
