I live in Maine in the summer and I reside in Florida during the winter! I've made it my mission to create stunning, timeless images that will be treasured for years to come. I specializes in capturing the candid, intimate moments that make your wedding or elopement unique and special.

I'd say my photography style would be something along the lines of "lifestyle photography". [That means that posing you in silly ways that seem fake / awkward isn't really my jam.] I mean, unless that gets some snuggles & laughs. I'm ALLLL about that. I like to capture REAL life with REAL emotions and REAL smiles. Your session should be relaxed and fun. [All while I get some kick-ass photos!] I will most likely make a giant fool of myself at your session, so you'll feel like a professional. Hi, I’m Julie! I’ve been photographing weddings for about ten years now (holy cow, do I feel old!), starting with photographing friends' weddings and quickly falling in love with the work. While I adore capturing gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom and the quiet (and sometimes chaotic!), beautiful moments during a wedding/elopement/engagement session, those ridiculous candid moments (like when a stranger offers you a fry on the boardwalk during your bridesmaid photos) truly make your day uniquely yours. I'd absolutely describe my style as a mixture of classic, artistic and photojournalism, but my heart lies in capturing candid moments.

My name is Leah Carter and I am a creative, driven, Maine gal that loves her camera. I grew up in southern Maine and went to Stonehill College for my marketing degree. Post-graduation, I started my career in the sports media world in Boston and continued my education by pursuing my Master's in Integrated Marketing Communications. My love for portrait photography has kick-started my business.

I'm a New Hampshire Wedding + Portrait photographer primarily serving the New England area. I started my photography career in 2013. As a photographer, I've become intimately acquainted with my clients which have lead to great relationships and even better friends. Photography is apart of my lifestyle. When I'm not behind my camera, I'm spending time with my High School Sweetheart, my beautiful daughter and two adorable Chocolate Labradors.

I want to capture it all on your big day. From the moments of you putting your dress to the tears running down your face as you read your vows to each other. To the first kiss and “OMG you’re my spouse now!!” feels. To the unexpected Taco Bell run you make after the ceremony or your grandparents getting down on the dance floor. Being able to grab the moments for you to hold to forever, is such a rewarding humbling job for me.

Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.

Since 2016, I've been photographing weddings for the most amazing couples. My focus is not only to tell the story of the day, but to create the most awesome art for my clients. My goal is to make all of my couple's days run smoothly and as stress-free as a wedding can be. From helping create a photography timeline to helping work out the details, my clients not only hire me for my photography abilities but for my expertise when it come to a wedding day.
